This has the potential to be Everton's worst deadline day ever... and we have had some bad ones. 1 step forward, 10 steps back.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has had this to say after his move from Chelsea to Nottingham Forest...

"It’s massive for me to be here and I can’t wait to get started. It’s a new chapter for me.

“I know a couple of the boys already which was a big thing for me, and I obviously know the manager well, so it’s nice to be here and see familiar faces around.

“Forest is a big club which won two massive trophies in its history and I’m really excited to play at The City Ground. I know all about the atmosphere having watched a couple of times and I can’t wait to get playing in front of the Forest fans.”

Forest's Chief Football Officer, Ross Wilson said: "We all know the potential that Callum has shown. He was enthused to work with Steve again, given the relationship they formed with the National Team.

"We are pleased to welcome Callum to Nottingham today."

We understand that Forest have paid less than £5m to sign Hudson-Odoi.

  4. PSG still hopeful of signing Kolo Muanipublished at 18:37 British Summer Time 1 September 2023

    BBC Sport

PSG are encountering frustrations in their attempts to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt.

To do that deal, PSG need to sell Hugo Ekitike to Crystal Palace to get under their Financial Fair Play ceiling.

However, there are problems with that deal which leaves PSG unable to sign Muani.

The French club are still hopeful of concluding the transfer, which could cost €90m (£77m).

RE: Anon - Are Liverpool fans that arrogant, or foolish, that they seriously think they could sign Vini or Mbappe? Why oh why would they leave their current situation to play Europa League? Klopp's Liverpool peaked a few seasons back when they won the EPL* (covid season)

Liverpool fans thinking Vinicius or Mbappe are possible replacements two weeks after being turned down by Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo. Alright then.

I told you Forest still had plenty of business in the pipeline!

Forward Callum Hudson-Odoi has joined the club on a three-year deal from Chelsea.

Once regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Europe, the 22-year-old has failed to fulfil that promise in recent years.

Having fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge (and spending last season on loan ay Bayer Leverkusen), he now has the chance to rejuvenate his career at the City Ground.

#bbcfootball, text 81111 (UK only - standard rates apply) or WhatsApp 03301231826

If a bid of £200mill comes in, Liverpool should demand it all upfront. No mucking about. THEN I don't see how they can turn that down

    Joe

Take the Salah money and agree to loan him back to Liverpool for the season. He gets more money, Liverpool gets the player for the season and time and money to replace him, and Saudi get the player for the long-term.

    Anon

If Jurgen doesnt accept this £200 million offer he is outright mad! Get 200mil, we have 5 forwards that could be used until January. Then in January we have the money to purchase mbappe or Vini! Common sense....
