  1. Triple change for hostspublished at 57mins

    Livingston 0-2 Celtic

David Martindale throws the dice with three changes.

On come defender Tom Parkes and midfielders Steven Bradley and Stephen Kelly.

Off go Mohammed Sangare, Scott Pittman and Jamie Brandon.

  2. Celtic remain in controlpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Livingston 0-2 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

This is how Celtic play. They've been moving well off the ball, they've been giving lots of options to the player on the ball.

Hatate is good at that. He doesn't stick to a position. He moves all over and that gives the opposition problems.

  3. Lucky Bainpublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Livingston 0-2 Celtic

    Michael Stewart
Former Hibernian midfielder on BBC Sportscene

I cannot understand how Scott Bain cannot see Joel Nouble. You don't have that much time in the middle of the box when Livi are high up the park.

He's got away with that - massively.

  4. Postpublished at 50mins

    Livingston 0-2 Celtic

So close to a quickfire reply for Livingston and it's so nearly a booboo from Celtic's substitute.

Scott Bain delays a kick, Joel Nouble nips in to block, but the striker's attempt to lob the rebound over the goalkeeper is a few yards over the crossbar.

  5. goal

GOAL Livingston 0-2 Celticpublished at 47mins

    Matt O'Riley

    Disaster for Livi!

Just when Livingston looked to make their man advantage pay, Celtic look to have killed the game.

Luiyi de Lucas hesitates as Kyogo Furuhashi sends a ball into the six-yard box, Daizen Maeda looks to have a tap-in, but although goalkeeper Shamal George manages to scoop off the line, midfielder Matt O'Riley is on hand to slot in his fourth goal of the season.

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

Livingston threaten immediately, but Mohammed Sangare can only prod wide from a low cross into the penalty box.

  7. KICK-OFF SECOND HALFpublished at 13:36 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

Celtic get the second half underway. Down to 10 men but defending a one-goal lead.

Will Livingston make them pay for that Joe Hart red card? Thumbs up below for yes, thumbs down for no.

  8. Questions over Celtic defence?published at 13:35 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    HT: Livingston 0-1 Celtic

    Michael Stewart
Former Scotland midfielder on BBC Sportscene

It's a split second between a brilliant bit of play and poor play. For me, I don't think you can be hyper-critical [of Joe Hart]. The thing I'd be looking at is the defensive set up. Celtic have been caught out on three or four occasions by a simple ball over the top.

Livingston have to put long balls over Lagerbielke. His body position at times is all wrong and I would be telling Livingston that's what they have to exploit.

  9. Bonner 'not worried' about Hartpublished at 13:30 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    HT: Livingston 0-1 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

I'm not worried about Joe Hart. He was just trying to help his centre-halves out. I wouldn't put it down to poor decision-making.

Joe is a very experienced keeper. He impressed me during the week. He held his hands up after the free-kick against Betis, took the heat off Kyogo - who could have had questions asked about what he was doing in the wall. That was leadership. Other keepers would make excuses.

He comes up with big saves at times. He made a big save against Bruce Anderson today.

  10. Celtic 'motoring' before Hart red cardpublished at 13:27 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    HT: Livingston 0-1 Celtic

    Leanne Crichton
Former Scotland international on BBC Sportsound

Celtic, after the penalty, had started to motor. They were more like their old selves - a lot more interchange, a lot more freedom middle to front. Greg Taylor was influential and instrumental. It looked like it could be a long afternoon for Livingston.

Then the red card completely changes the game.

  12. HALF-TIME Livingston 0-1 Celticpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

Reo Hatate's spot kick separates the sides.

It's been an incident-packed first half and the Celtic procession you might have expected after that early breakthrough hasn't happened.

And the red card for goalkeeper Joe Hart means the visitors' lead is on a knife edge.

    Ayo Obileye

    Scott Bain again in action.

This time, the goalkeeper rises to nip the ball off the top of Mohammed Sangare's head and grab it at the second attempt as a ball finds the midfielder deep inside the Celtic penalty box.

  15. Postpublished at 42mins

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

Scott Bain makes his first save.

It's fairly comfortable as he is down clutch a Ayo Obileye snap shot from 18 yards bounces awkwardly in front of Celtic's sub goalkeeper.

  16. Livi failing to make numerical advantage paypublished at 40mins

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

    Kheredine Idessane
BBC Sport Scotland at the Tony Macaroni

Since Celtic went down to 10 men, there's little sign that they're enjoying less possession or space.

Livingston will have to find a way to make their superior numbers pay if they want to take anything here.

  17. Postpublished at 35mins

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

Celtic are down to 10 men, but it is the visitors who continue to dominate possession.

Livingston, though, are increasingly dangerous on the break.

Game very much in the balance.

  18. Postpublished at 32mins

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

Mohammed Sangare is involved again for Livingston.

The big midfielder lumbers dangerously across the Celtic penalty box, but his shot is wildly over the crossbar.

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

    Kheredine Idessane
BBC Sport Scotland at the Tony Macaroni

That's two yellow cards and a red for Celtic players before even half an hour has been played. Alistair Johnston and Liam Scales are now walking a tightrope for the rest of the match. Joe Hart has long since walked to the dressing room after being ordered off and replaced with Scott Bain. Should be a fascinating hour from here.

  20. Bain on for Forrestpublished at 30mins

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

Scott Bain is on for a rare Celtic appearance, with winger James Forrest being sacrificed by Brendan Rodgers.

Livingston don't make the most of their free-kick outside the penalty box as James Penrice finds the side netting.
