  1. 'Right decision'published at 13:02 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

    Leanne Crichton
Former Scotland international on BBC Sportsound

Sangare has every right to go for the ball. His foot is not any higher than he needs to go for the ball. I would be surprised if the VAR team overturn this.

  2. RED CARD Hart (Celtic)published at 27mins

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

    Big moment!

Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart comes out of his penalty box and takes out Mohammed Sangare as the midfielder beats him with a toe poke to a high ball forward.

  3. YELLOW CARD Scales (Celtic)published at 25mins

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

Another booking for the visitors as Celtic centre-half Liam Scales dives in on Mohammed Sangare.

A bit harsh as it looked a bit of a lunge from the Livingston midfielder.

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 23mins

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

A superb turn and shot from Daizen Maeda and goalkeeper Shamal George makes a fine block to push the forward's powerful drive.

  5. Postpublished at 22mins

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

Livingston manager David Martindale has made a change following that goal.

Scott Pittman and Mohammed Sangare have changed roles in midfield, but they have kept the same formation and they are still struggling to contain the visitors.

  6. YELLOW CARD Johnston (Celtic)published at 21mins

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

Celtic right-back Alistair Johnston is the first to go into the referee's book for a late challenge on James Penrice.

  7. Hart to the rescuepublished at 12:51 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

I've heard some mutterings this season from Celtic fans about Joe Hart, a noise that grew louder in midweek when he couldn't stop that Feyenoord free-kick. But he made an excellent stop from Bruce Anderson to keep Celtic level in the early stages before their breakthrough. For my money, the goalkeeper's been a top acquisition since his arrival under Ange Postecoglou.

  8. Taylor key for Celticpublished at 12:50 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Livingston 0-1 Celtic

    Michael Stewart
Former Hibernian midfielder on BBC Sportscene

If Livingston don't get a hold of Greg Taylor, they will continue to be in trouble. Reo Hatate is occupying Jason Holt and Taylor is stepping into that hole. The room the left-back is getting is key at the moment. Celtic are well on top now.

  9. goal

GOAL Livingston 0-1 Celticpublished at 13mins

    Reo Hatate (pen)

Oh so close for Shamal George - but Celtic lead!

It's not the best strike by Reo Hatate, but it slips under the goalkeeper's body.

First goal of the season for the Celtic midfielder and the visitors are up and running.

  10. PENALTY TO CELTICpublished at 12mins

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

It's clumsy from Luiyi de Lucas as the Livi centre-half pulls down Reo Hatate with the midfielder in behind the defence.

    Spot kick chance for Celtic...

  11. Postpublished at 10mins

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

Celtic respond and Livingston goalkeeper Shamal George has to push away a cross come shot from Kyogo Furuhashi as Daizen Maeda slid in hoping to make contact.

  12. CLOSE!published at 9mins

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

So close to a shock lead for the hosts.

Bruce Anderson gets in behind the Celtic defence and Joe Hart makes a superb one-handed save to deny the striker.

Scott Pittman looks to pounce on the rebound, but visiting captain Callum McGregor clears off the line.

  13. Central to Livi's chancespublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

Livingston have had success against Celtic in the past by playing three at the back. David Martindale has gone with two, which should give more space to Kyogo, so it will be interesting to see if the Livingston manager sticks with that.

  14. Postpublished at 5mins

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

Greg Taylor finds Kyogo Furuhashi lurking inside the Livi penalty box, but the whistle goes for a hand ball against the Celtic striker as he fires a shot off the body of goalkeeper Shamal George.

  15. Good start for visitorspublished at 5mins

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

    Michael Stewart
Former Hibernian midfielder on BBC Sportscene

Celtic have started the game well and are playing the game in the Livingston half.

  16. Postpublished at 2mins

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

First attempt at goal comes from Celtic.

Reo Hatate, the Japan midfielder who was uncharacteristically out of sorts against Feyenoord in midweek, lashes a drive from 25 yards that is way over the top.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 12:32 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

Livingston get the game under way and immediately lump the ball high into the visiting half. A sign of the home tactics already?

    Livingston v Celtic (12:30)

    Kheredine Idessane
BBC Sport Scotland at the Tony Macaroni

Not too many empty seats at all at the Tony Macaroni Arena this lunchtime. The stand opposite me and the two behind the goals are full of noisy Celtic fans, literally banging the drum for their team away to my right.

The main stand is packed with amber and black, with the home fans rising right now to applaud their team onto the park. Good atmosphere. We're all set for a good one here.

  19. Rodgers clarifies stance on transferspublished at 12:30 British Summer Time 23 September 2023

    Livingston v Celtic (12:30)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells Sportsound: "James [Forrest] has been great over the course of pre-season. He's got that quality and the skill set to break down defence and he can create and score goals."

Rodgers also asked about his midweek comments about transfers and whether he was dissatisfied.

"I will correct you as always there's always something made out of what managers will say and to sensationalise stories," he says. "That wasn't what I said, I think. I did say was that any manager who goes into a window will always feel at the end of a window they maybe could've done a little bit more.

"I never said anything else other than that, so I've been really happy with the boys that have come in. We know the areas that we want to improve in, we know the areas that we have to improve in. You're never going to do that in one window.

"What we aim to do and what we want to do going forward is improve the quality within the squad. That doesn't mean I'm not happy with the club so I'm pretty sure that people will look at that and focus on that and try to drive a wedge very, very early on between myself and the board.

"Whatever stories try to get created around that, they'll be false.

"The minute I'm happy here, really happy with everything is the time I probably move on because to drive standards and move things forward you have to have to be looking for more."
