    In, just!

Guglielmo Vicario dives the correct way and gets his finger tips to Cole Palmer's penalty but the ball squeezes in.

All square, but what incredible drama we have had in this derby.

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

That is a bad challenge. That is a really horrible challenge.

I think he had no alternative. That is clear red card. That is a bad, reckless challenge. He puts his team in a difficult position and that is a terrible challenge.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2023

    Tottenham 1-0 Chelsea

Eric Dier is sent on for Spurs to replace the unfortunate Brennan Johnson.

Paul: The amount of missed red cards for serious foul play is getting ridiculous - Kovacic, Guimares and now Udogie. Add red cards to penalties, handballs and offsides to the issues VAR doesn't understand

Tristan: I wonder how Arteta would react to some of these decisions!

It's such a silly tackle by Romero. He got away with the incident with Colwill and then followed through on Fernandez in the box, the referee didn't have a choice. Chelsea have a penalty.

Cristian Romero is sent off and I have no sympathy for him. It's the wildest of challenges.

I never thought it would come to the day where I'm really feeling for Chelsea.

Michael Oliver is going to the screen. I think Chelsea will get a penalty here and Cristian Romero could be off, it is a really heavy challenge.

  10. VAR

Video Assistant Refereepublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2023

    Tottenham 1-0 Chelsea

Right, VAR decides that Nicolas Jackson was interfering with play, so the goal is ruled out for offside.

But should Chelsea have a penalty now for foul inside the box by Cristian Romero on Enzo Fernandez?

  11. 'Only Jackson is offside'published at 20:31 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2023

    Tottenham 1-0 Chelsea

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Chelsea keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Sterling has a big touch and there is a chance for him to score and the ball comes back to the edge of the box.

Jackson in the line of the goalkeeper is the only thing it can be because no-one else is offside.

Keith: How are Spurs not down to 9 man, what is VAR actually doing, both clear red cards.

Ryan: Spurs should be down to 9, a deflected goal, and what could Sterling do with his hand? Lucky Spurs.

Anon: They need to switch the VAR off and back on again at Spurs. "Embarrassing".

There's so much going on it's hard to keep up with. Chelsea think they have equalised again but the linesman's flag is up.

  14. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 29 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Chelsea

    Another disallowed Chelsea goal!

Moisés Caicedo drives a shot in from outside the box but the effort goes through the legs of Nicolas Jackson and that appears to be what the flag was up for.

Chelsea are the ones in their groove now, perhaps aggrieved by some decisions, and there's a scramble in the box from a free kick but they can't turn the ball in.

Destiny Udogie should have been sent off. You don't have to break a player's leg to get a red card.

  17. 'It was only a meek kick'published at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2023

    Tottenham 1-0 Chelsea

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I'm glad I saw it again because when I first saw it I thought Romero definitely lashed out but then it was just a meek kick.

If you are going to get sent off, kick him properly.

Luck really is on Spurs side, first another deflected goal and lucky to escape 1 red and VAR handball against Sterling.

    Tottenham 1-0 Chelsea

He lashes out and he does catch Colwill on the leg.

  20. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Chelsea

There was an incident in the build up that goal where Sergio Romero catches Levi Colwill on the leg. Nothing comes of it, however but Tottenham have been a bit fortunate with two incidents now.
