  1. 'Big chance'published at 12:28 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

    Cammy Bell
Former Kilmarnock goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

He has to hit the target.

Especially from a goalkeeper's point of view, there were so many bodies in the way it would have been difficult to deal with.

That was a big chance for Kilmarnock.

  2. CLOSE!published at 12:26 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

    Not a million miles away.

The ball breaks kindly at the edge of the box for Matty Kennedy, who smashes a half-volley narrowly over.

He'll be disappointed he didn't make the keeper work.

Hmm, a replay of that incident shows Findlay knocking the ball back to Will Dennis before he picks it up.

If that was given as an indirect free-kick, I don't think there would've been many complaints.

  4. Postpublished at 12:23 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Superb defending, Stuart Findlay.

Duk looks like he's got a yard on the Killie defender, who shows strength and recovery pace to usher the ball to his keeper.

  5. Quality lacking with Killie edging forwardpublished at 12:22 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Rugby Park

This has many of the elements of a good old rugby match. Perhaps they were watching the World Cup final last night.

Kicks straight into touch, players wrestling for possession and all very stop, start.

We need a big uplift in quality to get this going. Kilmarnock are starting to do that with David Watson's chance a great move.

They're showing more intent to get forward.

The resulting corner comes in and finds Joe Wright just a couple of yards out.

His header under pressure flies way over. A tough one despite it being close range.

  7. CLOSE!published at 12:19 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

    What a block that is.

David Watson is found free in the box, takes a touch, then smashes towards goal.

He's thwarted by a sliding Richard Jensen though.

  8. 'Scrappy affair'published at 12:18 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

    Willie Miller
Former Aberdeen captain on BBC Sportsound

It has been a really scrappy affair, giving possession away too easily.

The players are really struggling to get the ball under control.

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

Another Connor Barron free-kick, this time from the right.

This one beats the first man but again comes to nothing as Richard Jensen completely misses the ball with a swipe towards goal.

  10. 'Sloppy start'published at 12:15 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

    Kris Boyd
Former Kilmarnock striker on Sky Sports

Early doors in this game, but both teams are being a little bit sloppy in possession.

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

Connor Barron nicks the ball away from Matty Kennedy but takes a clattering in the process.

    A foul but no card.

  12. Postpublished at 12:12 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

Nicky Devlin absolutely leathers one from the right of the box but finds a Kilmarnock body.

That would've been a sore one.

  13. Postpublished at 12:09 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

First shot on target comes from Matty Kennedy.

Kyle Vassell holds the ball up on the edge of the box, laying off the ex-Dons winger.

But his effort is straight into the arms of Kelle Roos.

  14. Postpublished at 12:06 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

Now Aberdeen have a chance to put the ball in the Killie box as young David Watson barges into Graeme Shinnie wide on the left.

Again, the ball doesn't beat the first man.

  15. 'McInnes showing intent'published at 12:05 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

    Cammy Bell
Former Kilmarnock goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

I like the look of this Kilmarnock side.

You have got two big physical strikers up top, it is a real show of intent from Derek McInnes today.

  16. Postpublished at 12:04 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

Early Kilmarnock corner, which Danny Armstrong fizzes towards the near post.

Doesn't beat the first man though and the winger's follow-up cross is out of play.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 12:03 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Aberdeen

After a minute's applause for former Kilmarnock director Laurel Chadwick, who recently passed away, we're under way at Rugby Park.

The players have just emerged from the Rugby Park tunnel.

Weather certainly looks a bit better in Ayshire.

  19. 'Nothing too serious' for Ndabapublished at 11:57 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock v Aberdeen (12:00)

Kilmarnock have posted a social media update from Derek McInnes on Corrie Ndaba.

“Hopefully it’s nothing too serious and he’ll be back with us in the next couple of games,” the manager says.

The wing-back is out with an Achilles injury.

  20. Postpublished at 11:54 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

Aberdeen's recent record against Kilmarnock is pretty ridiculous.

Although the Ayrshire men won their last home league game against the Dons in December of last season, that ended a 16-match winless run in the fixture at Rugby Park.

In fact, Aberdeen have only lost two of their last 31 top-flight league meetings with Killie.
