    Kilmarnock 1-0 Aberdeen

    What an effort!

Danny Armstrong bends one off the right and it cracks the crossbar.

The ball falls to him moments later, but he drills this one straight at the Dons keeper.

    Willie Miller

The fact is Kilmarnock are the better side, playing better football and they deserve to be a goal up.

    It possibly should be more.

    Kilmarnock 1-0 Aberdeen

I think a Kilmarnock head has just done Aberdeen's defending for them.

Perhaps one of the funniest/worst attacking headers I've seen.

    Cammy Bell

Kilmarnock are smelling that second goal and Aberdeen are just gifting them opportunities.

Another goal feels inevitable for Kilmarnock as Richard Jensen nods behind a dangerous ball at the back post.

Danny Armstrong has room to surge forward.

He lets one fly from range, it's a decent hit, but Kelle Roos isn't really troubled.

Still zero shots on target for Aberdeen.

Off go Connor Barron and captain Graeme Shinnie for Dante Polvara and Leighton Clarkson.

    Kilmarnock 1-0 Aberdeen

    Cammy Bell

Kilmarnock are still looking positive going forward, looking as if they are always a threat, especially with Vassell up front.

  10. CLOSE!published at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 1-0 Aberdeen

Kilmarnock catch Aberdeen napping with a quick free-kick.

Matty Kennedy then smashes one but is denied by the slightest of fingertip saves from Kelle Roos.

    Kilmarnock 1-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen look like they don't know how to deal with Kyle Vassell at times.

Sometimes they're standing off, but when they get close he's got the power.

Joe Wright is down again after that challenge with Duk.

Duk's down and holding his face after failing to get past Joe Wright.

The Killie defender is just stronger, and bigger.

But here come Killie, who have a corner as Richard Jensen pokes the ball away from Marley Watkins.

Jamie McGrath heads away the delivery.

Much better from Aberdeen as Duk gets to the bye-line before forcing Will Dennis to parry away from Bojan Miovski.

  16. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:09 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    Kilmarnock 1-0 Aberdeen

    We go again.

Aberdeen change, btw. Jack MacKenzie is off for Ryan Duncan.

  17. Postpublished at 13:07 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

Aberdeen need more from their front two, Duk and Miovski, who have managed just three touches in the Killie box between them.

Kyle Vassell has three on his own.

  18. 'Kennedy the standout'published at 13:02 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2023

    HT: Kilmarnock 1-0 Aberdeen

    Cammy Bell
Former Kilmarnock goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

I think Killie were the team that had the most intent, they wanted to get the ball down. It has been a scrappy affair, but Kilmarnock have definitely had the better opportunities.

Matty Kennedy has been a standout for me down the left-hand side, really putting the fear in the Aberdeen defence.

In fact, in addition to that, Aberdeen have failed to win in their last 19 matches when conceding the opening goal in a Premiership game.

That dates back to 19 March 2022 against Hibernian.
