Fulham manager Marco Silva wants his players to take the positives from Sunday's last-gasp 4-3 defeat at Liverpool.

After squandering a 3-2 lead in the final 10 minutes at Anfield, Silva believes his side showed enough to win the game and hopes his players can show a positive reaction when they face Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.

At his pre-match news conference, Silva said: "We didn't get the points we deserved, but we took the positives from the game. We scored three goals at Anfield.

"We have had some games where we deserved more. I believe we are more capable to do this now - it is part of the process of the season. We have to do the right steps to be more consistent."

Nottingham Forest cannot "hide" from a recent poor run of results, but boss Steve Cooper insists it has been fine margins that have cost them points.

The Reds have lost their past three games by a one-goal margin and now find themselves just six points above the relegation zone.

However, Cooper feels these difficult runs of form are the most "important" times to be a manager.

"I'm under no illusions we will go through challenging times when we will be on the end of bad results and decisions," he said.

It has been a turbulent few days at Manchester United.

Saturday's defeat at Newcastle was followed by suggestions of discontent within the camp and then four media organisations being banned from yesterday's pre-match press conference.

Now, the focus is back on what happens on the pitch, with Chelsea tonight, Bournemouth on Saturday and Bayern Munich next Tuesday, it is a big week, something not lost on manager Erik ten Hag.

"We have three big home fixtures in less than a week and they will all be very important in deciding how our season progresses from this point," the Dutchman says in his programme notes.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola said: "Everyone is trying to recover to be ready against Palace. It is probably going to be a tough week. We have two away games with the travels and everything, we have to be ready and I hope everyone's ready to play."

When asked about possible squad rotation, Iraola said: "We have to consider that we are playing three games this week and two away games. I hope everyone is ready if they start or play in the second half. I think we'll need everyone."

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson, whose side have only won one of six league matches at home, said: "We know Bournemouth are a good team, they’re in exceptionally good form and have won four of their last five or six matches, they’re playing well and just had a very good draw, almost a victory.

"We certainly can’t say our home is our fortress. We’ll have to produce the performances to get that and as of yet we haven’t done so."

Andy Giddings, from BBC Radio Sheffield, has given his views on Chris Wilder’s appointment as our pundits wonder whether Sheffield United overachieved and had unrealistic expectations on their Premier League return.

BBC Sport asked readers for their opinions on Chris Wilder returning to manage Sheffield United for the second time.

    Here are your thoughts:

Andy: He should never have left the club the first time. One of the best managers we have ever had. He unified a broken club and brought the dream to Bramall Lane. Hopefully he can do it again!

Matty: I think it's a wise option in terms of experience and because of the success Wilder had at United before, getting promoted twice in three seasons from League One to the Premier League, although I do wonder whether he is going to be able to change it around. Hopefully we can buy some players in January and have the chance of just staying up.

Joy: The players lack passion. I hope Wilder can bring that back. The real Sheffield United always fights, but that fight has been absent.

Michael: This is a convenient appointment, which will prove pointless. Sheffield United will be relegated. Wilder says he is better than when he left, but how? He’s been a disappointment at both Middlesbrough and Watford and his best days are long gone. He loves the sound of his own voice and believes his own rhetoric. It's got failure written all over it!

John: Sorry to see Hecky go. He has done a great job but he had no owner support - in fact we don’t really have an owner. I was sorry to see Wilder go for similar reasons. I welcome him back and wish him the best of luck - he’ll need it!

    Rob Staton
BBC Radio Sheffield commentator on the Monday Night Club

I think the fans have somewhat given up hope of surviving in the Premier League.

If they beat Liverpool on Wednesday at Bramall Lane, and Chris Wilder is in the dugout, that hope will come straight back.

But, if they don't get results soon it won't come back.
