What a moment for 20-year-old Aggie Beever-Jones, scoring on her first WSL start for Chelsea, unmarked at the back post and powerfully heading in.

But all credit too to Lauren James, who now has a goal and an assist to her name. Her cross from the left flank was just absolutely perfect, cutting out four Liverpool players and it was begging to be converted, which Beever-Jones was able to do.

A fantastic header, a bullet header. There's not much the goalkeeper could do. It was also a great ball in from Lauren James.

It is about the finer details for Liverpool, you can't switch off like that.

This has been end-to-end since Chelsea's opening momentum.

It's Shanice van de Sanden, who's been the architect of most of Liverpool's chances this afternoon, who starts the counter. She finds Sophie Roman Haug and they try a neat passing move but neither of them can get a shot away.

A lovely goal from Chelsea's Lauren James and it had been coming. She had earlier seen a curling effort punched away by Rachael Laws, but a goal was always on the cards when James picked up the ball 30 yards out and charged at Liverpool defender Gemma Bonner.

Once James got into the penalty area, the rest was inevitable, the shift on to the left foot and the low strike into the net past Laws.

That was the signal for thousands of flags to be waved by the enthusiastic youngsters in the home crowd or for them to bang together some noisy inflatable sticks. But the celebrations quickly change with the Liverpool fans having their turn to then cheer a goal with a shock equaliser.

Chelsea boss Emma Hayes will be furious with how easily Shanice van de Sanden was able to spin away from England centre-half Jess Carter on the halfway line, with the unfortunate Carter then bundling the ball over her own goalline from Van de Sanden's cross. A lively start.
