Brighton will play in front of a sell-out crowd for the first time at Crawley's Broadfield Stadium when they host Arsenal this afternoon.

Albion provided rich entertainment last time out at home, sharing a 2-2 draw with Manchester United which included an 89th-minute Guro Bergsvand goal to put the Seagulls in front for a second time and a 98th-minute equaliser from Rachel Williams to thrill the sizeable contingent of visiting supporters.

"The atmosphere was absolutely electric," coach Melissa Phillips said of that game. "We need our fans to will us on. Arsenal will have a lot of supporters with them and so we need a big performance.”

Before the serious stuff starts on the pitch, a fan zone at the ground is featuring a makeup artists’ station and a photobooth offering matchday selfies.

You may have spotted a familiar name on Bristol City's bench: they signed Haaland (pictured, left) today.

Goalkeeper Benedicte, who previously played for the Robins in 2020/21, has joined on a short-term deal as cover for the injured Kaylan Marckese.

She's played for Icelandic side UMF Selfoss and Italian club Hellas Verona since her last stint at City, most recently representing Hibernian in the Scottish Women’s Premier League.

"I enjoyed my time here and I’m looking forward to getting back into it because it’s a club and city that’s very special to me," Haaland told City's website.

“The girls have all welcomed me into the group so well and it’s been really nice to reconnect with some familiar faces, too.”

Everton's struggles this season have largely centred around a lack of goals. The side have yet to score from open play, and defender Megan Finnigan is their top scorer with just two goals.

Yet Boss Brian Sorensen is confident that his side have positives to take into this afternoon's match against Bristol City. "It's been a tough run but I think we put in a good display against Chelsea last weekend, [we]allowed them very few chances."

"We were pleased with a lot of stuff. We want to try and take that positive thing into the Bristol game."
