    Man City 0-0 Burnley

Manchester City come again, Jérémy Doku gets in behind but his cut-back is hacked clear.

At the other end some Josh Brownhill magic gives Burnley half a yard and Wilson Odobert ends up winning a corner. It's cleared though.

  2. 'That's what Brentford are trying to do'published at 19:44 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January

It's lovely build-up and they are very high again, Spurs. Roerslev is slightly offside and he could have held his run there.

But that is that they are trying to do, hit Spurs on the counter. If they move it forward quick, they could get in behind, Brentford.

    Tottenham 0-0 Brentford

No goal indeed for Brentford. But Spurs are playing a dangerous game there.

I think Burnley have settled in quite well, there has been a lot of running, but that is what Manchester City do to you.

Burnley are in a 4-4-2 formation and they are getting after the ball whenever possible.

  5. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 12 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Brentford

HIGH LINE again, it's the buzzword of the night. Brentford spring it, Mads Roerselv is free on the right and batters a low shot into the far corner.

Great finish but the flag is up. VAR will have a check.

    Man City 0-0 Burnley

City continue to probe, and Burnley continue to keep their opponent on the edge of the final third.

Hey, what's this? Burnley start a counter but Rico Lewis is back to clean things up.

  7. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Brentford

Both sides playing such high lines and leaving space in behind is making for a really entertaining game to watch. This time it's Brentford who break through with Keane Lewis-Potter on the left, he cuts it back to Neal Maupay but Oliver Skipp makes up the ground to win it before the shot can come in.

    End-to-end!

Brentford are finding it tough to get out. They have got two up top but they are spending most of their time on the edge of their own penalty area.

They aren't expecting to win, and the players went out there with confidence.

  9. Postpublished at 8 mins

Ooooooh. Kevin De Bruyne's free-kick clips the wall and goes just over for a corner which Burnley deal with.

No shots yet, but City have already started to move the ball higher up the pitch, pinning Burnley further and further back.

Nathan Collins has got right in there and marked Maddison man-to-man, to try and stop him from being able to get on the ball.

This is beautiful football from Spurs. They play out from their own right-back area and in about three passes they're in on goal at the other end. Dejan Kulusevski's first touch sends him clear but he can't get a shot away and he's offside anyway, as it turns out.

Talk about high lines in this game.

Dan: I really wish this "if Liverpool have injuries they'll struggle" nonsense would stop. We have no Salah, no Endo and missing both full backs and are still winning games.

  14. Trafford returnspublished at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January

    Man City 0-0 Burnley

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Vincent Kompany is not the only one 'returning' to Manchester City tonight.

Goalkeeper James Trafford joined the Blues in 2015 when he was 12.

He excelled in City's youth ranks but after loan spells at Accrington and Bolton, joined Burnley in the summer.

I suspect the England Under-21 international is in for a busy evening.

Ex-Manchester City stopper James Trafford makes a meal of Phil Foden's deep cross but manages to scoop things up before an attacker can get to the loose ball.

Burnley are playing in their away kit, always a pet peeve when it's not a necessity.

Zeki Amdouni runs down the left but is stopped by a combo of City's John Stones and Nathan Ake.
