  1. 'We were not our usual selves'published at 17:54 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    FT: Luton 1-3 Sheff Utd

    Luton Town

Luton boss Rob Edwards, speaking to MOTD: "A tough day. Disappointing to lose the game of course. They defended the box very well, we made a couple of errors and got punished. We were not our usual selves in terms of being snappy and creating chances.

"At the end it came down to two mistakes. There were a couple of moments in the game we huffed and puffed. The players gave everything. Once Sheffield United were very low and defending that lead they were difficult to break down."

On penalty decisions: "I don't think either were penalties but I don't know what is handball anymore."

On picking themselves up from this: "This is the best league in the world and the toughest league in the world. Today we have had a bad day but we have had some good days. The players will pick themselves up ready to attack the week."

    Nottm Forest 0-1 Newcastle

Bit of miscommunication among the Nottingham Forest defenders as a back pas completely bypasses Matz Sels and goes out for a corner.

Risky stuff, Newcastle's goal came from a corner. Forest don't want to be giving those away so cheaply.

  4. 'There's no sulking about it'published at 17:52 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    FT: Liverpool 3-1 Burnley

    Burnley

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany speaking to BBC MOTD: "It's the story of the last few months really. We have been performing well but didn't get the result. I am proud to coach these players and we will keep fighting.

"I've been to this place many times as a player and didn't get as many chances as we did today. These types of games you need a little bit of luck but we didn't have that and it becomes difficult. The team fights, works hard, is always dangerous and at times played really well.

"It's a credit to the team because they always keep going. I can take positives but obviously we want the results.

"It is not the first time we've had plenty of opportunities. There's no sulking about it. It is what is it and we have to get on with it and get ready for the next challenge. The players have to keep the belief. There is not a single hair - that I have left - that I wouldn't take that opportunity to believe in what can still become and be achieved."

Former Tottenham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

That is exactly the sort of move that Forest are looking for, the ball in behind the full back so Elanga can get isolated up against Burn.

They did it with Hudson-Odoi against Trippier a few moments ago. That is where the threat is for Forest.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 17:50 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    Nottm Forest 0-1 Newcastle

    Important save from Martin Dubravka!

Anthony Elanga latches onto the ball and drives forward. He puts the burners on and gets himself one-on-one with the keeper but Dubravka makes himself big and parries the effort away.

    Good chance.

  9. 'Players gave everything'published at 17:46 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    FT: Tottenham 2-1 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton assistant manager Andrea Maldera, speaking to BBC MOTD: "Sorry for my voice but I lost it in the match.

"We are disappointed. When you lose a match in the last 10 seconds it is disappointing but we played a good match.

"I'm disappointed for the players because they gave everything, a big heart, big soul and with big quality but this is football and we have to accept the result.

"It's important always to play with courage and pride.

"We have our style, we know what the risks are and Tottenham are a good team, they pressed our midfield and centre backs.

"We had chances but if we don't score it can always go the other way."

On communicating with Roberto de Zerbi: "He was always in contact with the bench. He asked about the substitutions. It's not easy because as you speak the game keeps going. I spoke with Roberto a lot and he suffered with us.

"Roberto probably from tomorrow will be in Brighton. He will come to England and I want to tell our fans that he is good and has no problems.

"He should be on the bench for the next game and I hope so because I lost my voice. I love my job but it's better that Roberto comes."

  10. 'Wonderful play from Newcastle!'published at 17:45 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    Nottm Forest 0-1 Newcastle

    Stephen Kelly
Former Tottenham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Initally I thought Trippier was sold short by the short corner from Almiron, but when he gets onto the ball the pace and whip he gets on it is incredible.

Guimaraes peels around the back post and does so well to not only get a good contact on it but to keep the ball down given the pace on the cross. Wonderful play from Newcastle!

    Bruno Guimaraes (10 mins)

    Early breakthrough for the visitors!

A brilliant delivery from Kieran Trippier finds Bruno Guimaraes in the area and he had just wriggled away from his defender and pokes home with the side of his foot on the volley.

That's just his second goal of the season and it was a beauty.

  12. 'Son makes most difficult ball look simple'published at 17:41 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    FT: Tottenham 2-1 Brighton

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, speaking to BBC MOTD: "It was a great finish for us and the supporters.

"It's a reward for our second half efforts but we weren't great in the first half. Part of that was because Brighton are a great team and we lacked some discipline.

"It's fair to say that we are still a work in progress but we had a world class player in Son [Heung-min], who makes the most difficult ball look simple to set up Brennan [Johnson].

"Going into the game we looked at the squad and knew we had the ability to change it up. It's fair to say that helped up.

"Brighton tried to contain us and looked a bit fatigued so it was good to be able to bring players on."

  14. 'Forest need to make the most of the ball when they have it'published at 17:40 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    Notts Forest 0-0 Newcastle

    Stephen Kelly
Former Tottenham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

You feel like this is going to be the pattern of the game.

Newcastle will be trying to dominate the ball and Forest will look to nick the ball back and get forward when they can.

Forest need to be extra careful when they do get the ball, they need to make sure they keep it and make the most of the possession they get.

Taiwo Awoniyi has five goals and two assists in the Premier League so far this season.

He was almost involved again, there. Assist for the assist or whatever it is.

  16. CLOSE!published at 17:38 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    Nottm Forest 0-0 Newcastle

Taiwo Awoniyi slips away from Fabian Schar and the home side immediately get on the break.

He finds Nuno Tavares who cuts it back for Morgan Gibbs-White and it's a glorious opportunity but his effort is just wide of the post.

    What a chance.

  17. 'You need something to go your way'published at 17:37 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    FT: Liverpool 3-1 Burnley

    Burnley

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany speaking to Sky Sports: "Yeah it was as good as a performance as you need to have a chance of getting a result somewhere like Anfield. There were lots of positives. We will always feel disappointed about the result but the message to the team is we keep growing. Every day of the week we need to continue with that belief.

"It wasn't just those two chances. In the first half we had many moments where we broke and could have finished with one-on-one so it's the final ball and final details. They have good players too. You need a little something going your way and there was not enough of that today for us to get a result.

"I understand from Liverpool's perspective, they are always awkward games. There is an expectation from fans to see those games off early and to have a little bit of a quiet afternoon but that's something we can benefit from. I've been on the other side many times and know how awkward these things can be. We made it difficult and these types of performances can't remain unrewarded in the future.

"It's in moments like this that you show what you are made of. I have my eyes wide open and don't want to hide away from toughness. We do ourselves proud and our fans proud. People can tell you what you don't achieve in life, but they don't say what you still can achieve."

On his yellow card: "I'd say it's a little bit to do with the game. I think I got booked because I should have paid attention to the fact that Jurgen Klopp got booked because then all I think the referee did was just went looking for me. I opened my arms out which I have done exactly that in many games. Then all of a sudden the card comes out. Out of nothing. Now I am suspended for the next game. I should have known it was just a way to balance it out and it doesn't make sense, but hey, we have to keep going. No sulking."

  19. 'Always nice to win late'published at 17:34 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    FT: Tottenham 2-1 Brighton

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham midfielder James Maddison, speaking to Premier League Productions: "A bit of relief actually.

"We probably weren't at our fluent best today, we still had some good passages but probably weren't at our best.

"It's always nice to win late, that feeling when you're out there and it sends the fans into madness. If you could bottle that and sell it then you'd get millions, that's why it's so rare.

"We've done it a few times here at home with late winners so credit to Brennan [Johnson] with the winner.

"The gaffer always goes on about getting that first time cross in to the far post. It was just good quality all round [for the goal] and Brennan got in at the back post. It was a well worked goal.

"Brighton are a brilliant team, there's no getting away from that. It's why they are doing really well in the Europa League and have been challenging for the top six in the last few seasons.

"It can be difficult if you aren't clean and crisp on the ball. I just have to credit the character of the team.

On improving form an players coming back: "You always want to kick on but it has been a difficult season with players being out at different times in clusters. It's good to see competition for places again because it drives you on."

  20. KICK-OFFpublished at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February
