    Oooooh.

Taiwo Awoniyi gets in behind the Newcastle defence again. Martin Dubravka comes out of his goal and dives to his left to steal the ball away. There's a bit of a stumble with Sven Botman as well and down goes Awoniyi.

Forest want a penalty, VAR is having a look...

I'm a saints fan and Liveramento was so important for us last season. How he doesn't get into this Newcastle back 4 is beyond me!

    Peter, Newcastle

Tactically Howe is poor. 6 goals conceded against teams at the bottom and he is making sure Bruno leaves us at the end of the season. No champions league no Bruno.

    Nottm Forest 2-2 Newcastle

Yellow cards all round as Morgan Gibbs-White is pulled back for offside but isn't happy with the call as Sven Botman seems to give him a shove.

There's a bit of back and forth between the two and they both find themselves in the referee's book.

Oops, if only Miguel Almiron was a couple of inches taller. He's unmarked at the back post and the cross comes in but it sails way over his head.

Newcastle just can't get on the ball right now. Nottingham Forest quite happy to pass the ball around them.

Nuno Tavares has a go from just outside the area but it's all power and zero accuracy and balloons off onto the terraces.

What a shame! This is an absolute beauty.

Taiwo Awoniyi has the ball in the back of the net with a glorious curling effort into the far corner.

But, the flag eventually goes up.

This Newcastle defence is by far the worst we've seen at The City Ground this season, they are so slow, Elanga could have a field day running between Botman & Burn in the second half.

    Adam, Lower Bridgford

Dan Burn exposed yet again. When every supporter can see the fix to a problem and the manager can’t (not to mention the £30m spent on an actual LB in the summer), you’re in trouble. Time to cut out the sentiment, Eddie

  9. 'Forest exploiting the gaps left by Newcastle wing backs'published at 18:42 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    Nottm Forest 2-2 Newcastle

    Stephen Kelly
Former Tottenham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Newcastle are conceding a lot of goals this season.

It is tough because their style of play dictates that they get lots of players up the pitch, they often play with a three at the back with the wing backs pushing high.

Tonight Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi are not tracking back with the Newcastle wing backs when they push up, so that leaves Newcastle so vulnerable and short on numbers when Forest turn the ball over.

Forest not happy as they think Kieran Trippier deliberately controls the ball with his arm. Referee Anthony Taylor puts his arms by his side to indicate he thinks Trippier's were in a natural position.

VAR has a very quick look, no penalty.

I'm beginning to think that selling Hudson Odoi for tuppence and buying Mudryk for £70m might not have the brilliant business Todd Boehly thought it was.

    Matt

Magpie here, another match where we fail to look better than a mid-table team. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new coach come in next season.

  14. Big matches on the continentpublished at 18:34 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    Need more football?

Two massive games happening on the continent this evening between title chasers in Germany and Spain.

Real Madrid currently lead this season's La Liga surprise package Girona 2-0 while Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen lead Bayern Munich 1-0.

Could they finally be the team to prevent Bayern winning ANOTHER title? You have to say that would be pretty unlucky for England captain Harry Kane.

Imagine, heads to Germany in search of (basically guaranteed) trophies and Bayern fail to win the Bundesliga for the first time in 11 seasons. Surely not.

Anyway you can follow both of those games live here.

Newcastle have probably edged the game on possession but Forest have looked so dangerous on the counter attack, breaking forward so quickly and in numbers.

They know they can hurt Newcastle on the transition and the away side have struggled to deal with it. Hudson-Odoi got a little lucky with the deflection for the second equaliser but sometimes you have to make your own luck.

Forest have had decent chances but Newcastle have shaded it on the balance of play and chances created.

Fabian Schar really looks to be in some discomfort as he makes his way off the pitch. He hobbles down the tunnel while having a chat with the physio.

We may not see him again this evening.

    Nottm Forest 2-2 Newcastle

    Stephen Kelly
Former Tottenham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Callum Hudson-Odoi gets a little luck here but he does so well to fashion the shot in the first instance.

He drives at Kieran Trippier, little one-two and the shot takes a wicked deflection off Lewis Miley to send Martin Dubravka the wrong way.

GOAL - Nottingham Forest 2-2 Newcastlepublished at 18:23 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    Callum Hudson-Odoi (45+6 mins)

    Out of nowhere!

Well Callum Hudson-Odoi fancied his chances from around 25-yards out. He hits it well but it takes a wicked deflection off Lewis Miley and nestles in the back of the net.

What a time to find a second equaliser.
