    Nottm Forest 1-2 Newcastle

Fabian Schar is hobbling a bit after a challenge from Forest captain Ryan Yates.

Replays show that actually wasn't a great challenge.

We're into five minutes of added time as Callum Wilson has an effort cleared.

  3. 'No chance that's a penalty'published at 18:20 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    Nottm Forest 1-2 Newcastle

    Stephen Kelly
Former Tottenham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

No chance is that a penalty.

As soon as Anthony Gordon moves towards Anthony Elanga he throws himself to the ground. In fact that should be a yellow card for Elanga for a dive.

I'm sure VAR will check that but not for me.

  4. PENALTY APPEAL - FORESTpublished at 18:20 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    Nottm Forest 1-2 Newcastle

Forest think they have a shout for a penalty as Anthony Elanga gets a shove from Anthony Gordon. Referee Anthony Taylor says no penalty and VAR is satisfied with that decision.

    No penalty.

    It's a wonderful finish.

Headerf back across from Botman, one-two with his centre back partner Schar, and the Swiss hits it hard and low on the volley into the bottom corner. If this is a striker scoring this goal you're delighted.

Forest will be looking at themselves as they did not pick up Schar on the first or second phase, and Schar does have that quality in his locker.

    Fabian Schar (43 mins)

Bruno Gumaraes sends in the free-kick from a long way out and Fabian Schar heads it down before Sven Botman heads it back across the face of goal for Schar to smash in.

That's the defender's third goal of the season and he restores his side's lead just before half-time.

    Nottm Forest 1-1 Newcastle

Bit of a battle between Bruno Guimaraes and Murillo but the referee says play on and Nottingham Forest have the chance to get on another break.

Taiwo Awoniyi surges forward but no one could get a head on his cross. Forest just look so dangerous on the break.

  8. Postpublished at 18:12 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    Nottm Forest 1-1 Newcastle

Nottingham Forest have scored eight goals from fast breaks in the Premier League this season, more than any other side, while only Crystal Palace (6) and Manchester United (5) have conceded more such goals than Newcastle (4).

Is any Newcastle fan surprised about that goal and which defender was targeted!!!

    Andrew Newcastle fan

I love Dan Burn but he just doesn't have the pace as a left back. Tino has it in abundance. Make the change Eddie.

    From David in Bournemouth

Equally baffling is why Steady Eddie thinks Burn vs Elanga is sensible with Forest being the team with most fast breaks in the league. Madness I tell you!

Murillo is going to carry on. He doesn't look 100% comfortable but clearly doesn't want to come off just yet.

Murillo has sat down off the ball. He looks like he's struggling with his right ankle. He was caught earlier in the match and it looks like he's not managed to run it off.

Elanga is an absolute gem! Still can't believe United let him go for such a tiny fee!

    Arron

That is absolutely terrible goalkeeping by Dubravka, absolutely no need to be out so far when there’s defenders covering for him, absolute gift for Elanga

    Freddie

How many times does Eddie Howe have to see Dan Burn get torn apart to realise he’s been poor for the last 12 months. Livramento was our best player when fit and must be watching on beyond confused how he’s not playing.

It's baffling it's taken this long for managers to think "if we put a fast player against Burn he's got no chance".

We saw a few minutes ago that Elanga got in behind and missed a chance. This time the ball is perfectly placed, there's a bit of confusion in communication between Dubravka and Burn, and Elanga makes sure to take the chance this time.

The race between Elanga and Burn down that side is a mismatch and it has paid off for Forest this time.

  17. goal

GOAL - Nottm Forest 1-1 Newcastlepublished at 17:58 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    Anthony Elanga (21 mins)

This time he does not miss!

Once again Nottingham Forest manage to get in behind the Newcastle defence. Morgan Gibbs-White charges forward, has a quick look up and finds Anthony Elanga.

Martin Dubravka comes right out of his net to try and meet the shot like he did with Elanga's effort a few moments ago. But the forward just slots past. There's not much power on the shot but it doesn't matter, it creeps into the back of the net.

  18. 'Exciting to have key players back'published at 17:58 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

    FT: Tottenham 2-1 Brighton

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham goalscorer Brennan Johnson, speaking to BBC MOTD: "When Sonny crossed the ball, he had to lift it a bit and it felt like slow motion. I knew I just had to make the contact and I could feel my heart going.

"It just comes down to training. We work on wingers getting in at the back post so much. Early crosses are so important."

On having key players back in the squad: "It's a nice feeling, especially in training all week, to have everyone back it's just so exciting.

"We've got players back form tournaments and injury and it shows where the squad was before because we got off to such a great start.

"It's a really important stage now to try and kick on. We don't have too many games left and we need to keep performing to the highest ability."

Taiwo Awoniyi is brought down in the middle of the park and the home fans are absolutely fuming, they think that's a booking. Worrying scenes as the Nigerian stays down for a few moments but eventually he's back on his feet.

They do not want to lose him.

  20. Postpublished at 17:57 Greenwich Mean Time 10 February

Murillo tries to clear the ball away from the area but passes it straight to Bruno Guimaraes who finds Miguel Almiron but his effort is fired straight at the keeper.

    Shaky stuff.
