Claudia Zornoza is caught wrong side of Erin Cuthbert, so if she touches her she will give away another penalty.

The keeper is so flat footed. Cuthbert's shot hits her and it bobbles down into the net. You can't make mistakes like that in the Champions League.

Goalkeeper Mylene Chavas will not want to see that again. Erin Cuthbert wasn't even looking at the goal. She was trying to pull it back and it's taken a huge deflection off Chavas and into her own net.

The stadium announcer proudly shouts it's Cuthbert's goal, to a big cheer from the home fans, but that will go down as an own goal surely.

Niamh Charles just got caught napping a bit on the far side.

The ball is played between her and Carter, completely splits them, Hayley Raso drives in between and shoots, and Hannah Hampton saves initially.

However the parry from Hampton puts the ball on a plate for Athenea del Castillo, parries it into completely the wrong area, and the sub equalises. She has been such a bright spark since she came on.

    Real Madrid are level!

Caroline Moller sends a long ball across to Hayley Raso, who is in behind the Chelsea defence.

Her shot is stopped by Hannah Hampton, but she pushes her save straight to the feet of Athenea, who pulls a goal back for the visitors.

    Oh, that would've been lovely.

Lauren James easily dribbles through the Real Madrid defence and gets in front of Mylene Chavas, but she can't put the ball past the Real goalkeeper and it's put behind for a corner.

A good calm composed penalty from Guro Reiten.

There is a lot of pressure on her there. Chelsea understand how important it is to win this game tonight, she is not he normal penalty taker either.

She steps up cool, calm and collected and puts the ball in the opposite corner from the keeper.

  14. 'Chelsea have been unusually poor in the wide areas'published at 21:15 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January

    Chelsea 0-0 Real Madrid

    Gilly Flaherty
Former Chelsea and England defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Chelsea are normally so strong in the wide areas, usually so effective at picking people out in the middle, but they have been really poor at that so far tonight.

Normally one of their strengths just hasn't been there for them.

They are not really looking up or trying to pick out anyone in particular in the area and it is getting cut out really easily by Real Madrid.

Guro Reiten is found by a long ball from Lauren James, but the flag is up for offside.

It's not quite working for Chelsea at the moment.
