Mia Fishel is another example of Chelsea's squad strength. She was excellent against Paris in midweek and always look a threat, heading down on goal from another corner but that's easily saved.

    Chelsea 3-0 Everton

Chelsea have scored eight goals in the last 15 minutes of the second half, only Manchester United (11) have scored more in the English Women's Super League this season.

  3. 'Cuthbert followed in the play and finishes excellently'published at 20:29 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 3-0 Everton

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

What a goal from Erin Cuthbert!

She plays the initial pass forward and what I like is the way she follows in the play.

A great ball around the corner from Aggie Beever-Jones, and Cuthbert runs onto it and finishes excellently.

  4. goal

GOAL - Chelsea 3-0 Evertonpublished at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Erin Cuthbert (83 mins)

Game, set and match Chelsea! The skipper has the third and that's a brilliant goal, one-touch play between Fran Kirby, Mia Fishel and Sjoeke Nüsken ends with Erin Cuthbert running into the area and firing in hard and low.

    A brilliant goal!

  5. CLOSE!published at 20:28 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 2-0 Everton

So nearly three! Chelsea sub Mia Fishel hooks a shot just wide from close range as Everton look ragged on and off the field now.

  6. RED CARD- Brian Sorensenpublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

There's some confusion over an Everton substitution and who they want to take off. Everton manager Brian Sorensen is not happy and is shown a yellow card by referee Emily Heaslip.

He's evidently not calmed down though as about 30 seconds later he's shown a red!

  7. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 2-0 Everton

Lauren James and world record signing Mayra Ramírez are given a bit of a breather as Emma Hayes freshens up her team. There's a huge welcome for Aggie Beever-Jones, a hugely popular player.

Do we want VAR in the women's game? Consider that a can of worms.

  9. 'The harsh reality of not having VAR in the league'published at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 2-0 Everton

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

The harsh reality of not having VAR in this league is that any decision can have big consequences.

Everton have worked so hard but two dubious penalties against them mean that they are two goals down.

The referee must get a shout in their ear from the assistant on the line about it but without VAR they cannot review the decision.

  10. Postpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 2-0 Everton

Everton will have just cause for argument about both penalty decisions tonight. But Clare Wheeler gave the referee a decision to make by sliding in when perhaps she didn't need to.

  11. 'For me I would say that is not a penalty'published at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 2-0 Everton

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

I think when you look at the run from Mayra Ramirez she created the opening from nothing.

For me there is not enough contact from Clare Wheeler on Mayra Ramirez. For me I would say that is not a penalty. It is almost like the referee has seen Ramirez fall and assumed that there was contact.

  12. goal

GOAL - Chelsea 2-0 Evertonpublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Guro Reiten (Pen, 73 mins)

Same player, same outcome! Guro Reiten is cool as ice to roll in her second penalty of the night.

  13. PENALTY TO CHELSEApublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 1-0 Everton

Another one! Brilliant run again from Mayra Ramírez, she's so quick and strong and Clare Wheeler goes to ground and brings her down. Penalty!

Wheeler has given away two penalties and they've both looked harsh.

  14. Postpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 1-0 Everton

Surely this won't stay 1-0...but the longer it does, the more chance of Everton nicking something.

Chelsea have been much improved since the restart though, as Lauren James almost takes advantage of a slack touch at the back but Everton keeper Courtney Brosnan clears.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 1-0 Everton

Fran Kirby is on for Johanna Rytting Kaneryd.

Kirby has been involved in 95 goals in 105 WSL appearances (62 goals, 33 assists). Remarkable.

  16. Postpublished at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 1-0 Everton

Chelsea are finding time and space where there was none now, Everton are tiring and you feel a second goal is incoming.

A great ball in from the right has the Everton backline worried and Clare Wheeler does really well to calmly clear.

  17. Postpublished at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 1-0 Everton

Chelsea certainly have options everywhere. It's a squad for all fronts.

  18. 'Bjorn already looks like she has been at Chelsea for years'published at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 1-0 Everton

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It must be a real kick in the teeth for Everton to see their former centre back Nathalie Bjorn looking so composed already in this Chelsea side. She looks like she has been at the club for years despite only joining in January.

She just looks so calm and composed on the ball as well as when she drives forward with it. If I was Millie Bright I would be wondering where I would fit back in once I recover from my injury, Bjorn has been that assured.

  19. CLOSE!published at 20:07 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 1-0 Everton

The chances are coming now! Lauren James spins in behind, she's in on goal, one on one - and drags her left-footed shot about a yard wide!

  20. 'Rytting Kaneryd should be doing better with those chances'published at 20:06 Greenwich Mean Time 4 February

    Chelsea 1-0 Everton

    Claire Rafferty
Ex-Chelsea and West Ham defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

What was Johanna Rytting Kaneryd doing? She should have been expecting it to come in from Mayra Ramirez from the right but she almost looked surprised.

She wasn't set and ended up putting her finish over the bar. She should be doing much better with chances like that.
