Real Madrid 1-1 RB Leipzig (2-1 aggregate)

Real Madrid are through into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

But they were far from their best against a RB Leipzig side, who were the better team for large parts of the game.

Real didn't have a shot on target in the first half, but Jude Bellingham's brilliant run set up Vinicius Jr to give the hosts the lead.

A diving header from RB Leipzig captain Willi Orban instantly made it level on the night.

He missed a chance to take it into extra time and Dani Olmo hit the crossbar in the 93rd minute but 14-time European champions Real advance, just.

Man City have scored exactly 3 goals in every UCL game so far. There's surely some very niche stat lying around about that? Quite bizarre.

Rico Lewis is denied by the bar after a decent move involving young substitute Jacob Wright.

Three additional minutes. Will City score a fourth?

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:50 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Man City 3-1 FC Copenhagen (6-2 agg)

Jacob Wright gets a hug from Erling Haaland as the 18-year-old replaces the goal machine. A moment the youngster will remember forever.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORK - RB Leipzigpublished at 21:50 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Real Madrid 1-1 RB Leipzig (2-1 aggregate)

So, so close to a goal that would've taken us to extra time. Ex-Barcelona man Dani Olmo shows great skill while running backwards in the penalty area.

He takes a touch on his chest and loops a volley goalwards and it bounces off the top of the crossbar.

Panicky finish for Real Madrid, but they just about survive that one.

Real Madrid 1-1 RB Leipzig (2-1 aggregate)

We're into four minutes of additional time. RB Leipzig need to score or Real will be through.

A goal though and it's into extra time, with away goals not counting double these days.

  8. Postpublished at 21:48 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Man City 3-1 FC Copenhagen (6-2 agg)

This is Manchester City's eighth game in the Champions League this season.

They've scored three goals in each of their previous seven games and are on course to finish this one with another three....unless they can grab another in the closing moments.

  9. Postpublished at 21:48 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Real Madrid 1-1 RB Leipzig (2-1 agg)

Rodrygo looks to seal it for Real. He's fast, skilful and direct, but away goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi is standing in the right place and the shot is straight at him and met with a routine save.

    Shay Given
Former Man City goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Apart from the poor start, Copenhagen have been in the game and have been really positive.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:46 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Man City 3-1 FC Copenhagen (6-2)

What a moment for 18-year-old Jacob Wright, who is wearing the No 56 shirt.

He's getting ready to replace Erling Haaland.

Meanwhile, Copenhagen substitute Andreas Cornelius has been booked.

  12. Postpublished at 21:44 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Real Madrid 1-1 RB Leipzig (2-1 agg)

Vinicius Junior has been involved in 27 goals in his last 27 starts in the Champions League, scoring 14 and providing 13 assists.

At the moment, his goal is taking Real through to the last eight.

Copenhagen's fans are still having fun at the Etihad. They're now jumping up and down on the spot. City's fans respond with the Poznan.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:43 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Real Madrid 1-1 RB Leipzig (2-1 agg)

Jude Bellingham made Real's goal with an excellent assist, but will see out the rest of this one from the bench as on comes Joselu for Real Madrid.

  15. Postpublished at 21:42 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Real Madrid 1-1 RB Leipzig (2-1 agg)

Could've been another Leipzig goal, maybe should've been. Willi Orban is leading by example for the away side. The captain gets free from marker Luka Modric and gets to a left-wing corner.

Orban has already scored one diving header and should have another. This time he directs it just wide of the post. That's the sort of miss that will haunt him tonight if his side exit the competition. Seven minutes plus injury time for Leipzig to score again or they're out.

It's been a great fight so far.

Real Madrid 1-1 RB Leipzig (2-1 agg)

Leipzig are still creating chances and Real are hanging on here. Benjamin Henrichs can only fire straight at Andriy Lunin and he does well to get his body behind it and hold on to the ball.

  18. Postpublished at 21:39 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Man City 3-1 FC Copenhagen (6-2 agg)

Magnus Mattsson has caused problems since coming on. The substitute wins his side a corner before Mohamed Elyounoussi sends an attempt high and wide.

  19. Postpublished at 21:37 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Man City 3-1 FC Copenhagen (6-2 agg)

Pinball inside City's penalty area from a corner. The hosts just about do enough to get it clear.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Real Madrid 1-1 RB Leipzig (2-1 aggregate)

A great replaces a great as Luka Modric comes on for Toni Kroos for Real Madrid in their midfield.
