Manchester City might be cruising in the tie but Pep Guardiola is still finding something not to his liking.

He was giving the fourth official a hard time for something or other as he was getting ready to put the board up to signal injury time.

Even after Erling Haaland's goal he was pointing something out to his coaches.

HT: Man City 3-1 FC Copenhagen (6-2 agg)

Erling Haaland has scored his 41st Champions League goal (in 37 appearances), to move joint-17th alongside Sergio Aguero (41) in the list of leading Champions goalscorers. Alessandro Del Piero (42) is 16th on the list.

It's worth pointing out that Haaland has played significantly fewer games than Aguero in the competition.

HT: Real Madrid 0-0 RB Leipzig (1-0 aggregate)

RB Leipzig have stopped the opposition from scoring a first-half goal in six of their eight games, only Real Sociedad (seven) and Bayern Munich (seven) have done this more often in this season's Champions League.

I should know better than this but here we go...heart speaks louder than the head when I say Arsenal to beat Man City in the PL and then we knock out City in the Champions League. I'm sure reality paints a more morbid picture!

Does Pep make changes at half-time? Will he bring Erling Haaland off with the Liverpool game at the weekend?

Real Madrid 0-0 RB Leipzig (1-0 agg)

Real Madrid have failed to have a shot on target in the first half of a Champions League home game for the first time since 14 September 2022 - which was also against RB Leipzig.

Real did go on to win that game though, 2-0, thanks to late goals from Federico Valverde and Marco Asensio.

Is there any need for another 45 minutes?

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Real Madrid 0-0 RB Leipzig (1-0 agg)

The Germans have been the better side but failed to convert their chances. A few whistles from the Bernabeu fans wanting to be entertained.

Peter Gulacsi in the away goal couldn't have imagined such an easy first half. He's had nothing to do, Real have had no shots on target.

But Carlo Ancelotti's side are still heading through as it stands and you'd expect them to be much, much better after the break.

RB Leipzig still well in this tie though.

  9. goal

GOAL - Man City 3-1 FC Copenhagenpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

    Erling Haaland

    Of course it's Erling Haaaaaaland.

The big Norwegian pounces inside the box with a low powerful finish which the keeper gets nowhere near to.

Goal number 29 for the season.

It's a comfortable half for Manchester City. Even the atmosphere is quieter in the stadium. What does Pep say at half time?

Scott McKenna makes an outstanding headed clearance to prevent another goal but it wouldn't have counted as the offside flag was up. McKenna wasn't to know that, however.

Is it disrespectful to ask who Manchester City want in the quarters with more than 45 minutes still to go?

No seedings or country protection in the next round.

Manchester City against Arsenal over two legs, anyone?

  13. CLOSE!published at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Real Madrid 0-0 RB Leipzig (1-0 agg)

Xavi Simons is again involved for RB Leipzig, getting the ball in the corner of the penalty area. He opts to curl it into the top corner and Andriy Lunin leaps up and gets a hand to it, when he probably should've caught it.

The corner finds the impressive Lois Openda at the back post free. He takes a touch to set himself and fires in the half volley.

Lunin is panicking in the Real goal, flings himself to his right and is very relieved that the ball hits the side netting.

    Hello!

Here come FC Copenhagen again but the attack is ended by an offside flag.

They've looked a lot more comfortable since scoring.

  15. Postpublished at 20:41 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March

Real Madrid 0-0 RB Leipzig (1-0 agg)

Xavi Simons tries his luck for RB Leipzig from outside the penalty area, but Aurelien Tchouameni does well to get his body in the way and block it for a corner.

Real are then able to head the set piece away. Real doing enough at the moment, but the discontent from the home fans is growing.

FC Copenhagen were two goals down against Manchester United in the group phase and came back to win.

    Admittedly, that was at home.

And, as Copenhagen coach Jacob Neestrup said last night, Manchester City are a couple of levels above.

Still, it still makes it interesting. Sort of.

Leipzig have been the better team so far. Benjamin Henrichs crosses from the right, near the deadball line, for the visitors but it is safely grabbed by Andriy Lunin.

A few whistles from the home fans, wanting to see more from their side.
