    Right then, that's all from us after Lewis Hamilton continued his charge towards the world championship.

    A good day for Mercedes, but there is a story that is set to rumble on in the gap between now and the Italian GP on 6 September - tyres.

    "The car was feeling really good - I started with more front end than Nico," adds Hamilton. "In the middle stint I took it easy on first few laps out - after the virtual safety car I was able to push and get the gap out again."

    "To come away from the best holiday I've ever had and win was fantastic. To translate pole positions into wins is what I want to do.

    "I felt good when I woke up today. I am the strongest and happiest I've ever been in my life. I love my job - it's the greatest job in the world. 

    "I just want to enjoy it as much as I can. I'm around halfway through my career and I'm not looking forward to hanging up my helmet."

    "We weren't recovering and deploying properly," said Button. "F1 cars aren't very quick without an electric motor. Losing 160-180 horsepower - it is quite embarrassing to be floating around the back.

    "At least when those guys lapped me at the end I had a grandstand view of their fight."
