Belgian GP winner Lewis Hamilton: "We have had such a great crowd here this weekend. The whole circuit has been packed out with the fans. Incredible job done by the team throughout the weekend. Today was a dream and the car was fantastic all weekend.

"When I saw one of the tyres blow off one of the others cars I was being very cautious but I felt 100% all weekend."

Lewis Hamilton's win - his sixth of the season - means he now leads Nico Rosberg by 28 points in the championship.  

It is getting bigger, but then Nico Rosberg led by 29 points at the same stage last season. Still a long way to go...

Twelfth in the end after that gamble by Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari and his 150th grand prix is not he will be desperately keen to remember.

Disaster for Sebastian Vettel!! The gamble to stick on those heavily worn medium tyres fails to pay off as his right rear tyre fails. He continues to limp on but is a dangerous presence for his rivals, who weave past.

A Mercedes one-two is looking all but certain with Nico Rosberg, second, 30 seconds ahead of Sebastian Vettel. The gap between Rosberg and leader Lewis Hamilton, meanwhile, is 3.7s.

Daniil Kvyat is enjoying some racing today and he picks off another rival, charging past Felipe Massa at Les Combes and he is up to sixth.

Meanwhile, Romain Grosjean is told to "have a go" at Sebastian Vettel, who is still clinging on to third. That gap is now down to 0.6s with two laps to go.

McLaren's Jenson Button, currently 14th with team-mate Fernando Alonso 13th, reckons his rivals have got their strategy wrong.

"I think the cars in front are making a mistake in not pitting," he says over team radio. "It's so much quicker on new tyres."
