"Great to see the two Mercedes drivers congratulating each other at the end of that race - not something we saw from the middle to end of last season."

Lewis Hamilton pops over to congratulate his team-mate on the win. Good to see.

Then to the pre-podium room. Not much talking being done there, everyone exhausted after such a chaotic start perhaps.

Nico Rosberg double fist punches the air before climbing out of his Mercedes. He pulls off his helmet to reveal a beaming grin. He's loving this win, his second in succession so far this season. What a start to 2016.

And Daniil Kvyat makes the manoeuvre to nick seventh from the Williams. Great drive from the Red Bull after a poor qualifying.

  10. ONE LAP TO GOpublished at Lap 56

Into the closing stages and the closest battle in the top 10 is between Daniil Kvyat (8th) and Felipe Massa (7th). Just two tenths of a second between them.

Yep, a place on the podium is all but a certainty for Lewis Hamilton. He is third and 40s ahead of Daniel Ricciardo.

Behind the Red Bull, though, is another great Haas story developing. Romain Grosjean is on target for fifth. Brilliant stuff.

Stoffel Vandoorne is firmly on course for a point-scoring debut. The man in the McLaren is currently 10th but Kevin Magnussen is but a speck in his rear mirrors.

Way up ahead, Nico Rosberg leads by 6.8s seconds. Kimi Raikkonen is looking set to miss out on victory in Bahrain once again. So near, yet so far.

Daniil Kvyat is under pressure and Max Verstappen is breathing down his neck. Kvyat's rather disappointing form is something we have commented on and no doubt Dr Helmut Marko is watching closely."

  18. FIVE LAPS TO GOpublished at Lap 52

A right old scuffle developing between Daniil Kvyat and Valtteri Bottas. The Williams is trying to hold onto eighth but Kvyat has the tyres. He is on super softs and the two are racing side by side. A little smile from Frank Williams watching on, and there's barely enough space for air to flow between them but Kvyat holds his nerve and takes eighth.

Nico Rosberg is 6.6s ahead of Kimi Raikkonen. He's looking very good for his second win of the year. Could this be his year?

Lewis Hamilton is still trying to claw at some of Raikkonen's advantage, which currently stands at 13s, but the world champion is running out of laps.
