One More Discovery: I can't see anyone beating Mercedes this season and Hamilton will comfortably win the title regardless of these two races.

Stephen Gayfer: The first lap shunt killed any sort of real racing. HAM robbed!

The Scuba Monkey: Great seeing Kimi Raikkonen driving so well. A flavour of old iceman. Nico Rosberg asks for limited info and is pacing.

Minh Duong: It would be a success for Ferrari to finish second in this race. Ham is a beast on the attack.

  2. Battle for 11thpublished at Lap 50

Some cracking wheel-to-wheel action between Kevin Magnussen and Marcus Ericsson. The Sauber is 11th but Magnussen has the faster super softs on his Renault. Magnussen has a nibble, but great defending from Ericsson.

  3. Postpublished at Lap 48

A third and final stop for Max Verstappen, pitting from fourth and popping on some super softs. He is back out in eighth, Felipe Massa ahead of him.

  4. Postpublished at Lap 47

Great work from Romain Grosjean as he slams his foot down on the accelerator and sweeps past Felipe Massa at Turn 1 to move into sixth.

"Awesome, absolutely awesome," comes the message over the radio. The most American sounding radio message, ever.

"Lewis Hamilton has taken more than two and a half seconds out of Kimi Raikonen in the last two laps. I think it's the last five to seven laps when we'll really see the difference between the Ferrari and the Mercedes."

Stoffel Vandoorne takes 10th from Marcus Ericsson, who screams for information over the team radio.

Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton is chipping away at Kimi Raikkonen's advantage. The gap between second and third is currently 13.5s.

  7. Team radiopublished at Lap 45

A Mercedes engineer comes over the radio to tell race leader Nico Rosberg the gap to second-placed Kimi Raikkonen. Rosberg's response is a little impatient.

He said: "Don't tell me every lap, tell me every four laps or something."

Stoffel Vandoorne then makes his third stop of thje race and slaps on super softs for the final stint of the race. He is back out in 11th.

Of the top 10, only Max Verstappen (4th), Felipe Massa (6th) and Daniil Kvyat (7th) are yet to make a third stop.

Mark Duffell: Great to see the @ManorRacing, external car much more competitive this year. Made real progress. Great team, deserve it.

  10. Postpublished at Lap 42

A bit of new team rustiness from Haas as Romain Grosjean is brought in for his third stop and his team takes a while getting the super softs on. He resumes in eighth, just ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne, and the fresh rubber enables him to pull away from the McLaren.

Lewis Hamilton pits and it is a blink and you'll miss it stop. Hamilton barely has time to draw breath as he is sent off on his way, yellow walled softs on. He resumes in third, 17s behind Kimi Raikkonen.

  13. Postpublished at Lap 40

Lewis Hamilton is staying out for now, but for how long? Fifteen laps to the good on those worn super softs. Not much life in the them.

Meanwhile, that little hold up for Nico Rosberg behind Nico Hulkenberg has allowed Kimi Raikkonen to close the gap. The Finn is 4.4s behind.

"Tyre life shouldn't be an issue for Kimi Raikkonen at the end but it's all about who has the fresher tyres at the end of the race. Every lap Lewis Hamilton can eke out from his mediums will be important."

  15. Postpublished at Lap 39

Nico Rosberg responds to Kimi Raikkonen's stop by pitting from the lead. That momentarily sticks Lewis Hamilton out in front as Rosberg, now on softs, resumes in second, although he has traffic ahead - the lapped Force India of Nico Hulkenberg.

"Lewis Hamilton has become such a mature driver, he'll reflect on what I'm sure he'll think was a racing incident and use it to help him galvanise his performance."

  18. Postpublished at Lap 37

Kimi Raikkonen is the first of the front runners to blink and make a third stop. He swaps the super softs for softs and is back out in third, behind Lewis Hamilton and race leader Nico Rosberg.

Valtteri Bottas also makes his third stop, pitting from 13th.

  19. Postpublished at Lap 36

Pascal Wehrlein is lapped by Nico Rosberg but what a race the Manor driver is having. He is 12th at the moment, ahead of Valtteri Bottas in the Williams. Impressive.

Shark: After a monster start it's been a very average race from Williams. Time to shake up the driver line-up?

Reece Young: Loving Haas and their strategy calls. Very confident and nice to see a team try something new.
