As the conditions mirror that of the race on Sunday, we can take the lap times a little more seriously in FP2.
Coverage is about to start from the 5 live team - it's avaliable online only so use the play button at the top of this page to listen to Jack Nicholls, Tom Clarkson and Mark Gallagher...

And what of Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari...?
Oh and just a little more information on Stoffel Vandoorne's car which had to retire having only completed 10 laps earlier today...
You. Are. Welcome.
Just in case you were all waiting for the latest on tyre degradation from FP1...
So in case you missed it, here's what happened in FP1...
Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel set the pace as title rival Lewis Hamilton was down in 10th for Mercedes.
Vettel, who shares the championship lead with Hamilton, was 0.4 seconds quicker than Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo.
Hamilton was 1.9secs back in 10th, but his time was set earlier in the session and is unlikely to be representative.
Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen stopped on the track with an engine problem.
Let's hope for a more eventful FP2 shall we?

Join us for that from 15:25 BST and in the mean time, you can read Andrew Benson's FP1 report here.
I will leave you with this from Fernando Alonso....

Errrmmmm....... not loads.
In fact, we may as well ignore the times and performances from first practice today - they aren't in any way representative of what might happen in qualifying or the race.
It was an uneventful session, bar an exciting spin from Felipe Massa and a mini power unit failure from Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen but we can hope for more sparks as the light fades for FP2.
So what have we learned?
And here are the standings at the end of FP1...
