The tow truck has just attempted to lift that heavily damaged Toro Rosso and the mangled rear has just literally fallen off. The car is in two pieces now.
No chance that's taking part in qualifying.
That red flag means it is the end of the session with Lewis Hamilton quickest.

I can't see him getting out for qualifying. He has basically been too greedy on the entry of the corner, he was on the grass and the car let go. That was a really big error.
Big crash for Brendon Hartley. Fortunately he is OK but the car is most definitely not. The rear is smashed to pieces.
He gets the job done now and it's a 1:17.981, putting him fifth and seven tenths off the pace. Not particularly great.
Ricciardo is on the super-softs but backs out of his latest attempt at a quick time. "Need a bigger cool down lap," he reports. "The tyres are not there."
Grosjean is into the gravel again.
"What the fudge," he shouts as he just keeps the Haas out of the wall.
"It's Ok," he is assured. "We'll get the tyres cleaned up and go again."

The floor has been taken off Verstappen's car. There is an electrical glitch somewhere in the car. They are really up against it and don't have long to get the car ready for qualifying. Verstappen will not take any further part in this session.
Alonso does a 1:18.847 to move up to sixth, 1.5 seconds off the pace and currently best of the rest.
So far, so good for the former world champion.
Ricciardo spins at Turn 13. Thankfully it is nothing as dramatic as yesterday, which saw him into the wall. This time it is only a minor set back.
Verstappen loves an overtake, even when there are no cars to overtake.
Apparently, the reason for his extended stay in the garage at the moment is because he pressed the overtake button by mistake when he was launching, and boy did the car not like that.
Indeed it is.
Bottas goes a tenth quicker Vettel before Hamilton reclaims P1 with a 1:17.281.
However, both the Mercedes are on the super-softs now and it looks like Vettel's stay in P1 will be a short one.
A fresh set of super-softs helps Vettel go quickest of all with 1:17.550.
