Q1
Alonso managed to save himself, and if he continues with that he'll get into Q3 - something we haven't seen a lot of this season.
Except, sadly he was replaced at the last second by Brendon Hartley in tenth.
Fernando Alonso has had his lap time deleted. He was on an out lap and the car snapped away from him mid-corner. He went off the track, then recovered, but will have to go again.

Impressive from Bottas, this is a man who didn't get any laps earlier on as his car had a hydraulic failure.
Q1
Less than two minutes to go, and Mercedes have come out with some flying performance. Bottas is now top with a 1:15.580, a Hamilton 0.093 behind.

Cracking job from Brendon Hartley so far. The man who is under pressure for his drive is performing well.
Daniel Ricciardo set a new track record of 1:15.866, and Max Verstappen took it off him going one tenth quicker.
Those bulls are charging.
The Red Bulls are out, let's see what they've got against the top four of Ferrari and Mercedes.

Sergio Perez has so much support and Force India look reasonably quick here. The amount of support Perez gets is more than any other driver in his home race. He is getting cheered right around his lap.
Q1
Vettel: "Locked up on turn one."
And he's off on the grass.

Karen Waddy: Checo on pole, and the world goes deaf from all those Mexicans screaming for joy...
JJ Jackson: Hard to see past Verstappen for pole. I know Ferrari and Mercedes don't always show their hands in FP, but all 3...?
Ilyas Bulsari: Pole is looking good for the bulls as long as they have sorted their battery problems from earlier but anything can happen in qualifying especially with the Mercs and Ferrari's who normally sand bag in the practice sessions. 1st Ricciardo 2nd Vettel, 3rd Hamilton.
Ruairidh: Pole is @redbullracing to lose. @Max33Verstappen has been untouchable this weekend and would be disappointed to get 3rd.
Vettel is fastest so far with a 1:16.089, followed by Raikkonen plus four tenths, Hamilton sixth tenths, and Bottas one second behind.

The man who comes into this as the favourite is Max Verstappen - he has dominated this weekend so far.
Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel is what all the talk is about but Verstappen is a real threat to them. Vettel has to win the race if he is to take the title race to Brazil. Hamilton only needs to come seventh but if he is on pole he will avoid everything going on behind him.
Red Bull have the advantage here, but they also have two unreliable engines, which have caused them problems throughout this season. We could see that vein in Christian Horner's forehead sometime today. We had a glimpse of Toto Wolff's earlier after Bottas' hydraulic failure, and we've seen Maurizio Arrivabene's a few times in the last few races.
We are just five minutes away from qualifying now. It's going to be intense, not just for Bottas' engineers to get that car on the track, but there was only two tenths between Verstappen, Hamilton and Vettel in the last session, so providing they get through to Q3, it looks like it's going to get spicy in Mexico.
