The top three have all pitted once, Bottas in fourth has pitted twice. Interesting to hear his thoughts on Verstappen's five-second penalty after they came together in the pits.

Verstappen seems to have come out of that incident better than the Finn did.

Just looking at what the teams are doing, it's not wet enough for the inters yet, Carlos Sainz has come in for some mediums so no news yet.

    Hamilton leads from Verstappen

David NicholsonHirst: Let's face it, I can drive around in my Toyota Aygo leading and will still hold off Verstappen.

Michael Scarn: Bonkers that an unsafe release, which caused Bottas to have to go back into the pits, is only a 5 second penalty. Red Bull will be trying that more often if that's the only punishment they get.

Scott Coe: So is everyone thinking what I'm thinking... Give Max a 5 second time penalty to encourage him to try & overtake Lewis & get the race going again!

Daniel Ricciardo, last year's winner, took a gamble with an early pit stop when the rain came, but Renault may well have gone too early and the Australian is a bit stranded down in 13th now.

That Giovinazzi penalty is for colliding with Robert Kubica, that caused this traffic jam.

    Hamilton leads, Verstappen second #bbcf1

Mike Greenwood: Be interesting if the hards can go to the end with Lewis on mediums

Capo: 5 secs penalty for Verstappen! Can Ferrari now start thinking with their heads for once?

Chris Lord: Leclerc hasn’t finished a single race in Monaco. Has been classified twice but never seen the chequered flag

Rob Hill: Why do F1 persist with having the Monaco GP? There's no room to overtake. It's never a race, it's just a procession with corners.

Verstappen clearly fancies the last of those options. He attacks Hamilton at Sainte Devote. It is unsuccessful, but Hamilton's lead of this race is only 0.7 seconds.
