    Should Verstappen keep his win?

Matt Wright: Canada and Austria incidents can not be compared. Max was overtaking and held a line as the car with the advantage, Seb made a mistake and blocked the car with the advantage.

Josh Maynard: Lots of talk yesterday about a contract break clause for max if he didn't win a race. All the other drivers (Bottas) are safe in their seats now.

Petert1401: Hmmm...I haven't seen the video yet but from the commentary it sounds like a slam-dunk penalty. You can't force someone who is already alongside off the track. This one should, deservedly, go to Charles.

Ian Butler: The longer it takes - the more worried I get.

Valtteri Bottas, who came third and was first to finish from the Silver Arrows says: "I think we made a good start of it - it was a bit more difficult than we expected especially with the overheating of the engine we had to manage the temperature but we got some good points.

"We were up there on pure race pace - there were not much difference, but while managing temperatures we had to drop back."

  9. 'It's a shame'published at 15:50 British Summer Time 30 June 2019

Charles Leclerc, who finished second, his highest ever finish, says: "Overall the race was good.

On the incident that is being investigated, Leclerc says: "I had a bit more degradation than he had. I will let the stewards decide but for me it was clear I was on the outside, he didn't leave space, we touched and I went wide and it's a shame."

Dave Butler: If that is a penalty I will never watch F1 again

Ian Jones: If that gets penalised I give up

Tim Williamson: outstanding race by Max. Please dont let the stewards ruin this. Its racing!!! A nice tonic after last weeks bore-fest

Josh Earl: not the easiest race for Lewis or Mercedes. Comfortable championship lead going into his home Grand Prix next though, no greater motivation to get back to winning ways.
