As we mentioned yesterday, the stands at Monza will be filled with cardboard cutouts in place of fans at this weekend's Italian Grand Prix.

The cutouts are to raise money for healthcare charities in Italy, so Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc decided to do their bit...

Vettel spent Thursday evening taking pictures of all 76 members of the Ferrari team, paying 40 euros for each member to be added to the grandstands, plus the German made a personal donation, too.

Leclerc also bought one for his mum, Pascale Leclerc, to enjoy the weekend in cardboard form.

    Great stuff lads!

In a season where Lewis Hamilton is breaking records left, right and centre, another one is up for grabs this weekend.

The Mercedes man is level with tifosi legend Michael Schumacher on five victories each at the Italian Grand Prix.

Take a sixth chequered flag at Monza on Sunday, and Hamilton will become the all-time race winner at the famous circuit.

It’s Saturday, so the expectation is, all things being equal, for two black Mercedes to be on the front row, the question merely being over the order in which they qualify, with Lewis Hamilton as always the strong favourite for pole position.

Behind them, though, there is a question mark. Red Bull were struggling on Friday and Daniel Ricciardo’s Renault was quicker than them on both short and long runs (if you allow him the lap time he got deleted for track limits at Parabolica.

Ricciardo was not far behind Max Verstappen in fourth at Spa last weekend. Could he go one better in Monza? It’s a long shot, but it doesn’t look completely out of the question.
