Lewis Hamilton finished a mighty 24 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen at the end.

"Wow, didn't even know it was the last lap. I was in the zone," says Hamilton. "Thank you guys."

He sounds hot, or possibly bored. The win was that comfortable.

Hang on, Mercedes are pitting again. It's Valtteri Bottas as he switches onto mediums. He holds the fastest lap but I'm guessing he wants to make sure of it.

  9. Postpublished at 64/66

Sergio Perez, like Sebastian Vettel, is on a one-stop strategy and is still fourth but will drop behind Lance Stroll to fifth because of his five-second penalty.

Lewis Hamilton almost has enough advantage to pit, take on fresh tyres and throw in an attempt to put the fastest lap out of sight without endangering his race win.

We need to see something soon from Valtteri Bottas if he is going to make it a Mercedes one-two. He's five seconds behind Max Verstappen, although has just put in the fastest lap with 1:19.750.

The rain that was hinted at earlier sadly looks unlikely to hit the track to add some much-needed late drama to what has been a pretty routine race.

    Four laps to go.

"I just ran over a big piece of carbon," reports Lewis Hamilton, who is very, very comfortable out in front as he holds a 17 second lead over Max Verstappen.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel could only hold off the seventh-placed Carlos Sainz so long on those ageing tyres. He has four seconds advantage over Alex Albon however now. How long can he make that last?

  15. Postpublished at 60/66

Carlos Sainz is on for a good result at his home race as he breezes past Sebastian Vettel down the main straight and he is up into sixth.

Hamilton leads from Verstappen and Bottas

Francesca: Is Bottas actually going to put up a fight to reach Max, or has he finally given up and accepting Hamilton is winning the championship all over again (

Matt: Should Ferrari simply leave F1 as as they are an utter shambles and doing more harm to their brand than good.

Oooh, almost a moment between Romain Grosjean and Kimi Raikkonen as the former is running pretty slowly causing Raikkonen to hit the brakes.

A very unhappy Kimi says: "What the! Idiot, I was already turning and he almost took me out."
