Different strategy at play at McLaren as Carlos Sainz pits for another set of softs and he's back out in sixth.
He now has the fastest tyre of those around him but will have to stop again before the end of the race whereas his rivals can go to the end.

The pace on Friday suggested that Max Verstappen had a pace advantage over Mercedes, but it has not panned out that way on race day.
Being hot in your race suit is not a pleasant place to be with more than half the race to go.
The hard tyres looked awful on Friday and unfortunately for Alex Albon they look awful today. He's all the way down in 10th.

Max Verstappen has got a bee in his bonnet - he can see he is not going to win the race. The longer stint would have given him a better defence against Valtteri Bottas and he complained about that as well. He is frustrated.
Max Verstappen is VERY snappy over the airwaves today..
Red Bull: "We are nowhere near undercut range from Lewis, so control the peaks early on. I'll keep you posted on Bottas.
Verstappen: "How about we focus on our race instead of looking for Lewis. Clearly on the soft tyre we were not as fast as them so let's just do our job and let them do their job."
Red Bull: "Get your head down Max please."
Hamilton leads from Verstappen and Bottas
quixoticgeek: You'd think by now Red Bull would appreciate that consistency is key. They can do the magic like they did last week. But they don't seem to be able to do it every week.

Lewis Hamilton is the first of the Mercedes to pit as he heads in from the lead.
Mercedes are slow to swap the left rear and it is a 4.3 seconds stop but he had enough of an advantage to get back out in the lead on the fresh mediums.

Verstappen onto medium tyres. Pirelli reckon you can get 35 laps out of the medium tyre. Unless there is a lengthy safety car period that is not enough to get him home. Verstappen is surely on a two-stopper.
Verstappen not happy with tyres
Kaitlynn: I don't believe Verstappen's whining, it's gamemanship, smoke & mirrors.
Kayleigh: I love it when Gianpiero gets a bit sassy back with Max.
Sara: Battle of the pit stops to come.....
Lots and lots of complaining from Max Verstappen about his tyres and he finally gets his wish to pit.
He comes in for mediums and a superb 1.9 seconds stop sees him back out ahead of Lance Stroll's Racing Point and back in third.
Verstappen: "Do I need to repeat it again? I've got no tyres!"
Engineer: "You don't need to repeat it again."
Verstappen: "I'm losing so much time - who cares. I'll easily pass them."
"Tailwind? I don't care. Tyres... I've got nothing left."
