Matt Brown: I love F1 and am sure it’s incredibly difficult to drive Monaco - but, as a spectator, it’s incredibly boring.

George: The Monaco Grand Prix is literally a procession of cars following each other for 2 hours, how does this race keep being included every year?

Phil: Alonso should be penalised for deliberately driving slowly and making a farce of the race.

Esteban Ocon, get a move on, you've got a five-second time penalty to serve. Yours sincerely, your race engineer.

10 out of 10 for style from Guanyu Zhou. Massive fishtailing as he hit the brakes.

Seventh place is still occupied by Fernando Alonso, who holds a 1.323 seconds gap to Lewis Hamilton.

Crickey! Zhou Guanyu is the next driver to make a world-class save. The Alfa Romeo was definitely in the danger zone before disaster was averted.

Glimtoko: Alonso holding up almost every driver, without actually putting in any effort, is exactly why the Monaco GP needs to be scrapped.

RegularJon: what an awful track (as we know, for racing) - when a guy can just crawl along backing everyone up when they could be so much quicker than him and make for a decent race elsewhere
