    They were so buoyant. They said they were going to go for the win. It is not just they have finished second, they have wilted. Mercedes have not called this right. They have not given their drivers the best shot. It has not been a fighting performance from Mercedes.

    Mercedes have not got it right. Daniel Ricciardo has been flying and showing what could have happened if they had gone for the soft on the second stint. They had nothing to gain by putting George Russell on the hard tyre.

    Mercedes could have done better than this.
