Rose (-3)
Justin Rose waves to the crowd. It's his turn to spank down the first. That he does, the Englishman reacquainting his ball with that lush Augusta cut. Rose is the final overnight contender to start today...
Jordan Spieth leads by one on -4
Rory McIlroy on -3; Piercy, Lee -2
Willett, Lowry level; Day +1, Rose +2
Players on +7 miss the cut

Rose (-3)
Justin Rose waves to the crowd. It's his turn to spank down the first. That he does, the Englishman reacquainting his ball with that lush Augusta cut. Rose is the final overnight contender to start today...
Lee (-4), Wood (-2)
New Zealander Danny Lee is trying his best to cling on to Spieth's coattail, moving back alongside Paul Casey on four under with a birdie on 16.
Oh hello! England's Chris Wood has sneaked onto the first page of the leaderboard. Two birdies in the opening five moves him to two under.
Moves four ahead on -8
There's no stopping this lad. Jordan Spieth is like Ivan Drago, relentlessly throwing hammer blows, refusing to let his opponents stagger back to their feet before landing again. Here's another. Spieth sticks his short approach on three to within a cigarette's length of the can. Four ahead...
Mickelson (Level)
Quite incredibly Phil Mickelson has a whopping 42 PGA Tour wins - including five majors. Lefty knows how to get it done for sure.
At even par he is in the hunt with a 69 or 70 today you would think.
But does Mickelson have the power to tame Augusta again? He drove the ball an average of 254 yards on day one. The field averaged 272, with some of the big hitters nearing 300.
We know all about his short game, it's magical, but does he have the thump you sometimes need from the tee box here?
Mickelson (Level)
On the tee from the United States...Phil Mickelson! A big roar for Lefty, who strides onto the first with that ungainly lob-sided lumber of his. He's seven behind the leader - too much of an ask?

Rory Taylor: What if Spieth is 10 ahead by the end of the round? Do we just pack up and not bother with the weekend?
Rob Compton: Get the feeling McIlroy will be the Murray to Spieth's Djokovic. Woods not up to being Federer and Nadal...? I tried.
Arthur Clarke: I think the the problem for McIlroy is his outfit. Of all the clothes in the world and he wears those. Has to be affecting his play.
Lowry (-3)
Shane Lowry said after yesterday's opening round that he wouldn't be able to not dream last night about squeezing into the Green Jacket on Sunday. What he wouldn't have dreamt about is bogeying the first two holes today. The grizzly Irishman has steadied the ship since, breaking a run of six pars with his first birdie of the day on nine. He's back on the shoulder of Spieth and Casey.
-7: Spieth (After 2 holes)
-4: Casey (2)
-3: Lee (14), Lowry (9) Rose (18:50).
-2: Piercy (11), Kjeldsen (10) Garcia (9) Walker (10), Wood (5).
Selected others:-1: McIlroy (8), Willett (9), Day (11). Par: Mickelson (18:39) +1: Westwood (4) +2: Poulter (13)

Oh, hang on. Make that a three-shot lead. Paul Casey splashes out of the bunker with the poise and touch of one those 'sand artists' you see on a Spanish sea front. That leaves an easy birdie putt which he converts.
But Spieth should sink his seven-footer...he hasn't!! Oh my. That's the shock of the day so far. Spieth fails with the putter. I repeat, Spieth fails with the putter!
Jordan Spieth is already four shots clear, with that tiddler to come on two. It is threatening to be a procession. That's because Sergio Garcia has just blown up in smoke on the ninth, trudging off with a six. Poor. He's back to two under.
Cheers Stephan. So far today, the leaderboard has been moving and shaking with less vigour than an awkward teenager at a disco. Come on lads, let's get grooving.
Jordan Spieth is doing the golfing equivalent of sliding across the floor on his knees, tie wrapped around his head. Our leader has a seven-footer for birdie on the second...
Don't forget those first-round highlights on BBC Two (and at the top of this page) at 18:30. Speaking of highlights, here's one-man highlight reel Jonathan Jurejko.

Gee_McK: Spieth has the temperament for Augusta, Rory is too desperate to win.
Pete: McIlroy should've played the 9 holer on Wednesday, dropping loads of shots with his short game.
Tom Gibson: Really want Rory to win but I think there is too long a gap between PGA and Masters. Rory is a confidence player #hotstreak
Jordan Spieth is human. He's missed the green at the second. He could still get up and down to pick up another stroke, though. Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy could only par the par-five eighth.
Ken Brown and Hazel Irvine are getting ready to hit the airwaves from Augusta. Highlights of the first round will be on BBC Two from 18:30 - check out the highlights tab.
Spieth has made the ideal start at the attackable par-five second. He's on the fairway. Behind him the chasing pack are simply unable to make inroads. Danny Lee got to five under at one point earlier today, but slipped back. Sergio Garcia is alone in second on four under, while Lee, Scott Piercy, Paul Casey and the yet-to-start Justin Rose are three under.
Jordan Spieth's round-by-round record at The Masters. 71, 70, 70, 72, 64, 66, 70, 70, 66.
That's an aggregate score of -29.
Paul Casey, by the way, is playing in the same group as Jordan Spieth. The Englishman, third under overnight, parred the first. He's four off the pace.
Not only will Spieth's round have an effect at the top of the leaderboard, it will also shape the weekend plans of those at the other end. All those within 10 shots of the leader will make the cut, so his first-hole birdie has just moved the snip line to three over.
