One lost for Paul Casey, a man who fell foul of the wind on his approach to 14. Back to under. Bryson Dechambeau, who must be paying tribute to Jack Nicklaus with the yellow shirt, saves par. Spieth for par coming up...

"I am encouraged to hear McIlroy say he knows there are opportunities out there. If you are a McIlroy fan it was a very encouraging finish to his round, to put himself so close in terms of position to Spieth.
"There aren’t too many players who have matched Spieth in recent years in the world game. He is someone who Spieth looks up to and the psychological impact of that will not be lost on McIlroy or Spieth."

You'll hear plenty of chat about the wind at Augusta. Let's make something clear - it's not windy windy. It's just a bit blowy. The flags flutter, but it's not like a gusty day at St Andrews or a Tuesday night in Stoke. It's the direction that's the problem. One way, then the other, more turns than a shot-putter. Therein lies the problem.

Paul Casey is in the same group as Jordan Spieth. Spieth is ahead of him on the 14th fairway. "Is he going to stop swinging his club around," says Casey. Ah, that hasn't got the legs. It drops short of the pin and rolls back off the green.

"I think that certain people feel more comfortable playing with some players. You can get paired with some people you would never go to dinner with and think ‘yes this is going to be a long couple of days’.”
Justin Rose is on 10, a very tricky chip from the shadow towards a green that's about head high. Ooofff, not good. Only on to the fringe. He's off the green, needing to hole for par. He does well to get close and should only drop one. That would be back to level par, five behind Spieth.
Thanks, Luke. It was a donner meat calzone, actually. Yes, such a thing does exist.
It's all bubbling up nicely isn't it? Resurgent Rory, slighty slippery from Spieth. An excellent way to spend a Friday night.

I'll hand you over to Stephan Shemilt now. He's just had a pizza so is well stocked for the coming hours. Athlete diet, athlete diet...
Casey (-2 after 13), Spieth (-5 after 13), DeChambeau (-3 after 13)
Jordan Spieth will have to settle for par on the par-five 13th.
The story here though is Paul Casey. Eagle attempt, roughly 12ft. He has never eagled this hole... and he still hasn't.
It's birdie but he did not read the break correctly there. A clunky putt which didn't threaten.
DeChambeau's run of birdies ends, close, very close, a fraction away.
Respect.
Those ain't no beer mats on his head, they are passes for the Masters.
Respect.
To me, this is what Father Christmas would look like if he played poker.
Casey (-1 after 12), Spieth (-5 after 12), DeChambeau (-3 after 12)
Right then, time to throw the kitchen sink at it.
That seems like the Paul Casey attitude at least as he goes for the green on 13. This could set up eagle, where will it pitch? Don't you worry about it... it's 12ft away and this could take Casey to three under.
Jordan Spieth has a long putt for birdie awaiting him, Bryson DeChambeau is both classy and lucky. His second had water written all over it but doesn't quite roll into the drink.

Rose (-1 after 9)
Justin Rose makes birdie on eight and par on nine to stay on one under. A tough run of holes to come now but that's a good mark to protect.
What would Martin Kaymer (+5), Zach Johnson (+7) and Louis Oosthuizen (+5) give for something similar.
Spieth (-5 after 12)
Jordan Spieth steps onto the par five. The top players go in for the kill on these drags. He swings with the rhythm of B.B King but this ain't no sweet blues music. This is into the pine trees.
Still he has a shot to work with on the hole, he's maybe taken birdie out of the equation though.

Dave Ratcliffe: This Dechambeau lad is smashing it for an Amateur!!
DeChambeau (-3 after 12)
He's got a bit of style about him has Bryson. Well, I'd say so, thoughts?
