  1. Walker still leadspublished at 21:37 British Summer Time 31 July 2016

    -11 Walker (6)

Leader Jimmy Walker, on -11, leaves his putt short on the sixth. He just did not follow through properly and came up a foot short. That was a great chance to extend his lead, but not a disaster, as he taps in for par.

  2. Not his Day?published at 21:33 British Summer Time 31 July 2016

    -9 Day

Jason Day did not have the best of starts, making two bogeys in the first three holes.

The world number one momentarily shuts his eyes to get a picture of how he wants to hit his second shot on the seventh.

It lands at the back of the green and he should claim at least par from there.

  3. On the eighthpublished at 21:31 British Summer Time 31 July 2016

    -9 Koepka, -10 Stenson

Brooks Koepka was in a bit of strife at the eighth, landing his first shot in the bunker.

But he chips out nicely to land just short of the green on the par four hole.

Swede Henrik Stenson tees off on the same hole and is nicely in the middle of the fairway.

Andrew 'Beef' Johnston does enjoy the crowd reaction and the Americans have taken to him.

It draws people in when others might not have someone to follow, like John Daly a few years ago.

It is good for golf and he is a good kid, I like him.

  5. Stenson par saverpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 31 July 2016

    -11 Walker (5); -10 Stenson (6); -6 Casey (17)

Jimmy Walker's birdie putt on the fifth stays up and he stays -11.

Stenson sublime from the sand. A long swing and the ball pops out to a foot and a par.

Here's Paul Casey on the 18th, finding the back of the green with his second. Big eagle putt coming up and bragging rights over Tyrrell Hatton as the leading Englishman, and Briton for that matter.

  6. Beef overpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 31 July 2016

    +1 Johnston (18)

Andrew Johnston's round is done, a big smile peeping out of his big beard. "Beeeeef" scream American adults and kids alike at the Englishman, what a hero.

He throws his ball and cap into the crowd as he makes his way off the course. Johnston finished with a birdie to close on one over.

  7. It's in the sandpublished at 21:25 British Summer Time 31 July 2016

    -10 Stenson (6)

Further back down the seventh and Henrik Stenson shoves his second from the rough into a greenside bunker. Playing partner Martin Kaymer, from the fairway finds the green. He is four under though and the German's race has been run.

  8. Grace drops a shotpublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 31 July 2016

Brooks Koepka pars the seventh and still has his nose in the contest at two adrift.

Meanwhile, South African Branden Grace, who has climbed up that leaderboard, misses a straightforward putt on the 16th to drop to nine-under. Pressure.

Masters champion Danny Willett, who finished five over par: "It has been a bit disappointing. I had a good week last week at home but could not put it together on the course. A pretty stale week, but I have played all four rounds of every major.

"I had a chat with Padraig Harrington. You try not to put expectations on yourself but you are human. You know what you are capable of and if you don't play at your peak, you get frustrated. That is something you need to work on. We are getting better at doing it."

Lots of talk that perhaps a softened course would make the course a birdie paradise, but actually the players are finding the slower greens a bit of a problem, everything coming up short. Birdie for Stenson! No mistakes from the Open champion at six, he's now one off the lead.

Stenson with another look for birdie at the fifth, but it dribbles left of the hole, he stays nine under. Koepka at the sixth, right over the flag, birdie opportunity. Stenson just misses the fairway at six...

  17. McGirt fades from viewpublished at 20:56

Walker with a fine recovery at three after that errant tee shot, here's Grace for a share of the lead... leaves it right, stays 10 under. Day short with his birdie putt at the par-three fourth, nothing happening for him at the moment. Great bunker escape by Stenson at five, another one gone for McGirt at eight...

I am big Branden Grace fan, he is super talented and I would not be surprised at all to see him win today.

When the conditions are wet, he is good at squeezing things out.

  19. Casey makes a movepublished at 20:53

Day has missed that par putt at three and having not dropped a shot for 29 holes, he's now dropped two in three holes. He's now eight under and three off the lead of Walker. Grace with another fine approach at 14, the South African is really motoring. Casey moves to six under with a birdie at 15, two Englishmen in the top 10 now.

  20. Stenson starts steadypublished at 20:49

Walker will get relief from the fence, it could take some time. Kaymer with a 10-footer for birdie at three... bit tentative, stays five under. Grace on tee at 14, another fairway found. Stenson rattles in his par putt at four, stays two back. Hatton of England rams in his birdie putt at 17, which moves him into the top 10.
