Fowler v Rose 1UP (10)
Des Smyth
Former Ryder Cup vice captain on BBC Radio 5 live
He has had a rush of blood, he was putting up hill and it was straightforward. He left himself a very tricky shot to save par. It did a lap of honour.
Fowler v Rose 1UP (9)
Rose's putt for a half at nine whirls around the hole before deciding, belatedly, to drop... the Englishman heading down the back nine with his nose in front...
A/S Holmes v Pieters (9), D Johnson v Wood 1UP (5)
The 10th hole has caused a few issues this week, not so many for JB Holmes though. The downhill nature of this drag is problematic as the lie becomes testy a lot of the time. JB clunks one from the rough and opens up the chance of birdie. Thomas Pieters has responded all day, he'll have to again.
Whatever you do, don't fly the green. Pieters takes a big a divot, what a shot. That will be conceded and Holmes will have to sink his putt. Pieters kept his ball flight low, punched it forward and leaves a tap in. Crackerjack.
On the fifth, Dustin Johnson cannot match Chris Wood and Europe lead again.

Quick round in the morning, hey James?
Spieth v Stenson 1UP (10)
Spieth for par after that ham-fisted chip and he's nailed it. Stenson misses with his putt to win the hole and Spieth tells him to pick up, the Swede remains one up...
A/S Reed v McIlroy (11)
So Reed and McIlroy head to the 12th all square and there are huge shouts of "fore" as the American drags his tee shot towards the noisy spectators.
McIlroy is happier with his, but he is also slightly left. That lie isn't too shabby though.
1UP Mickelson v Garcia (7)
Spieth has stabbed his third miles past at the 10th, he really hasn't been himself this week. Great approach by Garcia at seven, after a great drive... not sure what Mickelson has done... actually, here he is, turning the screw on Garcia with a birdie putt... the Spaniard misses, that looked so awkward, almost as if he was scared to hit it.

Congratulations, Jules. Looks like you won't be struggling for a sun lounger either...
It's been a ding-dong start to Patrick Reed's battle with Rory McIlroy. Take a deep breath and soak up some of the emotion from Hazletine in this short video clip from their first nine...
Reed A/S McIlroy (11)
Tom Fordyce
Chief sports writer in Minnesota
This McIlroy v Reed classic sucking in all the oxygen and excitement around this sun-sizzled strip of Minnesotan countryside.
Tiger Woods watching on, Bill Murray watching on, Niall Horan and thousands of knee-knocking civilians. There are 11 other matches spread across Hazeltine, but this feels like the heart and guts of the whole contest.
A/S Reed v McIlroy (11)

It is very difficult to get the speed on that one. It was probably unrealistic to see them both bomb out on that one.
Reed knows he is going to have to keep making putts. Rory McIlroy is going to keep making fairways, keep making greens, so Reed needs to continue his special week here at Hazeltine.
A/S Snedeker v Sullivan (5)
Snedeker has won four and five against Sullivan to get back to all square, the momentum swinging back towards the Americans these last few minutes...
A/S D Johnson v Wood (4), A/S JB Holmes v Pieters (9)
The swings, not the golf ones, the momentum ones.
Chris Wood goes close from range but his one hole lead against Dustin Johnson is gone. Johnson is an enigma. If he's on then it's curtains for Wood really. DJ can blow people out of the water with his big hitting.
Over on nine, JB Holmes draws a massive roar from the crowd circling the green, holing from off the putter surface and leaping forward, chasing his own clenched fist in doing so. Thomas Pieters can't sink his effort and that match is back to level too.
1UP Z Johnson v Fitzpatrick (1)
Age: 22
World ranking: 44
Majors: 0
Previous Ryder Cup appearances: 0
Fun fact: When the Englishman decided to switch caddies, he had to make an awkward phone call to the man who was already employing bagman Jamie Lane - Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke.
Not the start Fitzy wanted though. He misses a six footer on one, catching the right lip. His body language isn't great. Shoulders slumped, almost a bit defeatist. He's up against Zach Johnson, one of the PGA Tour's steady operators and two-time major winner. Johnno will not give much away and his short game is superb.
Fowler v Rose 1UP (8)
Rose regains his lead at eight with a bendy one from range, having given it up on the previous hole...
1UP Z Johnson v Fitzpatrick (1)
Zach takes an early lead in the last match out as rookie Matt Fitzpatrick misses a short one...
A/S Mickelson v Garcia (6)
Garcia to win the sixth and in it pops. It's almost painful watching Sergio putt, and a big relief when he holes on.
Spieth v Stenson 1UP (9)

It looks like Henrik is in that Open Championship mode right now. He is looking really good and is going to be a really tough guy to beat.
