  1. 'Rafa isn't making mistakes'published at 20:17 British Summer Time 2 October 2016

    Walker v Cabrera-Bello 2UP (11)

    Carin Koch
Last year's European Solheim Cup captain on BBC Radio 5 live

It was a crucial time for Rafa to hit a brilliant third shot but Jimmy Walker was up there too.

It is getting down to the last few holes here and Rafa hasn't really made any mistakes today.

  3. What a shot!published at 20:15 British Summer Time 2 October 2016

    Walker v Cabrera-Bello 2UP (11)

I think I am now in the Rafa Cabrera-Bello fan club for the foreseeable. This gent has been exemplary this week and he clips his third shot on the par-five 11th to within a foot. It lands past the hole and spins back joyously. Jimmy Walker will have to hole in two putts from 30ft to stay two down. He does.

Five matches are red, three are blue, but so many have only one or two in it. I think we could be going all the way.

    1UP Z Johnson v Fitzpatrick (5)

Well played Fitzpatrick down at the bottom, he's just picked up his first birdie at five after a shaky start to peg Zach Johnson back to a one-hole lead.

    A/S Mickelson v Garcia (10)

Garcia has a 12-footer to win the 10th... and both players now have five birdies and no bogeys each, that's a real humdinger of a match between two old veterans. Mickelson on tee at 11 and he's sliced it into nonsense...

  8. 'Reed making clutch putts'published at 20:11 British Summer Time 2 October 2016

    1UP Reed v McIlroy (13)

    Andrew Magee
American PGA Tour winner on BBC Radio 5 live

Patrick has been one of the best putters I have ever seen this week. This week he has made so many clutch putts. He doesn't let anything get away from him.

  9. Europe up - Big minutepublished at 20:08 British Summer Time 2 October 2016

    D Johnson v Wood 1UP (7), A/S Moore v Westwood (9)

The leaderboard was a lacking in blue moments ago but now we have two European moments courtesy of Chris Wood and Lee Westwood. Woody stands tall over a mid-range putt on seven. He downs it, that's the millionth time the lead has changed between him and Dustin Johnson.

Westy is even more impressive, putting nearly the length of the green against Ryan Moore. It's a beauty, a real show of intent. Why is it he finds those easier than three footers?

    Spieth v Stenson 1UP (12)

Spieth on tee at the long par-three 13th and that appears to have found the water... the ripples confirm my fears... Stenson pops his on, that should be his hole...

  11. 'Henrik hasn't made many mistakes'published at 20:05 British Summer Time 2 October 2016

    Spieth v Stenson 1UP (12)

    Fred Funk
Former US Ryder Cup player on BBC Radio 5 live

I didn't see this happening as Henrik hasn't made many mistakes and, when he has, he has made great recovery shots.

    1UP Reed v McIlroy (13)

The second - and I mean the second - Rory McIlroy strikes the ball on 14, we hear screams and shouts from the crowd begging it to go where they command. The Northern Irishman looks into the sun, raising his meaty arm to block out the rays. His ball isn't bad but at this stage he needs more. Patrick Reed is closer in.

    Spieth v Stenson 1UP (12)

Stenson for par at 12... walked straight after it, and not in a good way, Spieth has a putt for the hole... makes it, chops the lead in half...

    2UP Snedeker v Sullivan (8)

Spieth with this longun at 12 and that's nicely done. I believe Stenson was already quite close. More bad news for Europe as Snedeker and his demon putter make another one disappear at eight - he was two down against Sullivan but is now two up after four birdies in five holes.

    1UP Kuchar v Kaymer (6)

Matt Kuchar, one of the guys who turns out week in week out on the PGA Tour, looks to be in control against Martin Kaymer.

Kaymer has struggled all week so the sight of Kuchar flicking in a wedge to around three feet on seven will do him no good. 'Kuch' could be two up shortly.

  18. 'Pieters holds his nerve'published at 19:59 British Summer Time 2 October 2016

    Holmes v Pieters 1UP (11)

    David Leadbetter
Leading golf coach on BBC Radio 5 live

JB hit a pretty good bunker shot and Thomas' pitch shot ran on a little further than he would like. But he was on JB's line and had a good opportunity to make birdie - 22-year-old nerves right there.

It make a lot of difference under this situation, that's for sure.

  19. Rookie count...published at 19:59 British Summer Time 2 October 2016

    Holmes v Pieters 1UP (11)

Danny Willett is one of six european rookiesImage source, .

All six are on the course and only Rafa Cabrera-Bello and now Thomas Pieters are winning. The big Belgian sinks a left-to-right breaker to take the advantage over JB Holmes after 11.

The US remember have two rookies, Brooks Koepka - who is all square with Danny Willett - and Ryan Moore - one up on Lee Westwood.
