So who takes it?

The 117th US Open is poised as we go into the final day. All of the men at the top have questions to answer and that tag of having never won a major to shift.

That lack of major glory can weigh heavy on shoulders. It can cause the mind to do silly things when pressure is applied. We are sure to see a meltdown somewhere.

So tune in for the chaos.

So they say some strong winds will whip through here on Sunday. Many things could go wrong for the players but boy they're so good they will likely still find magic on the final day.

Not sure about you but I wouldn't mind seeing it look like a scene from that 1990s film Twister. Let's get the ball swirling around like a kite and really see who wants this bad enough.

Leader Brian Harman, speaking to Sky Sports: "I hit some great golf shots there and had a good plan.

"I've been striking the ball so well and giving myself chances so I'll just try to keep doing what I've been doing.

"I've got my wife and daughter here, I'll spend some time with them now and I'll sleep like a baby tonight.

"Going into tomorrow, I'll definitely think about the mindset I had in winning Wells Fargo a few weeks ago."

Rickie Fowler - 10 under - speaks to Sky Sports: "I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. I've put myself in a good position. I got through the last few holes without my best swings so i'm in a good position and looking forward to it."

More from Tommy Fleetwood, speaking to Sky Sports: "I don't know how I'll feel when I wake up tomorrow but I felt calmer today than yesterday.

"It's going to be new again, being in contention on a Sunday but if I swing it like that again, it's a good sign.

"I felt great today - my long game is my strength and that was great today. We'll just see what happens."

Tommy Fleetwood, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was uncharted territory for me, leading a major but from the minute I teed off I felt comfortable in my swing.

"I hit good iron shots early on and good drives so I never really felt it was a struggle and didn't miss many shots.

"It's hard when you're out there but when I look back, I'll think, 'I played well there.'"

"On the last hole I was miles out on the fourth shot and could've been looking at a seven or an eight but I hit a great chip to get a six.

"Going off there with a six was massive. If I'd dropped more shots it would've left a very sour taste."

An unbelievable day of play that we got to witness - historical. Certainly for Thomas and for the whole field with how low the scoring was.

I'm still suprised at how many guys are bunched up there, certainly not like it was at the halfway point of this third round. Some are pulling away but there is a lot of players that are going to have the chance to win in tomorrow's windy conditions.

Here is the aforementioned "beast".

Will he land a first major? He's some player. Looking at that leaderboard it's hard to guess who will keep their nerve.

Who are you picking? Brian Harman won the Wells Fargo PGA Tour title in May. He has some form. Justin Thomas has three wins this season also.

But none have a major. And that is the big cloud hanging over all of them on what will be a pressured Sunday.

It's been a fascinating day, we haven't had the superstars involved but this new generation, all of a similar kind of ilk - Fleetwood, Thomas, Fowler, Koepka, Kim, Reed. These are the guys we are going to be talking about a lot in the coming years.

Grey pants, pink shirt, white cap. Hardly an all too eye-catching outfit but Brian Harman's play has been just that on times. His short game and putting have been pin point, making up for a lack of beef off the tee.

He has around 12ft for birdie and a two-shot lead going into the final round of the US Open. He will have dreamed this up as a kid. He sends it, slips past. It's par and he leads by one.

Brian Harman leads the US Open then and he can maybe even add a stroke to the advantage here on this final hole - a par five. He's in the fairway for two so it's just about taking aim from here. High trajectory, slightly right of the pin line but very solid to leave 15ft for birdie.

Paul Casey is alongside him, three over for the day and he makes par at the last. This Harman putt is key...

Fittingly, Koepka steps up and joins Fleetwood on 11 under with a birdie on the last for a round of 68. Each had five birdies and one bogey today.

Both were mightily impressive - calm and composed for the most part and although both wobbled at times, they ultimately held their nerve to stay right in the mix for the title tomorrow.
