You always want to be in the final group because you control your destiny a little more. But I'd say more important is who you play with. I think a Fowler-Thomas grouping could be good for them.

    Fleetwood -11 (68)

Well done that man. Tommy Fleetwood keeps his cool to hole a vital bogey putt and drop just one shot to end his torrid time on the final hole.

    Koepka (-10 after 17)

Meanwhile, Koepka has an eagle chance at the last...not quite but that should be birdie.

    Fleetwood (-12 after 17)

Given what a stomach-churning few minutes it's been for Tommy Fleetwood, where has he found this from?

One woeful chip and a heavy putt, followed by a sublime wedge to give himself a chance of escaping from a nightmare scenario with a bogey.

It was an incredibly difficult shot, barely any green to work with but he pulled it off with aplomb.

  5. Fleetwood wobblespublished at 00:27 British Summer Time 18 June 2017

This is brutal to see. He has been faultless all the way and now he is seriously under it...

    Fleetwood (-12 after 17)

Salvage job for Fleetwood. He needs to get up and down in two to get in the final pairing for tomorrow.

Oh no he's completely over-hit his putt from off the front edge. It slides past the hole and needs to pull up...but it just keeps rolling up and over the edge of a ridge and 30 yards down off the green.

Tommy Fleetwood has a challenging chip for his third shot on 18. He can't afford to miss it long or left or the ball will fall off the green.

He can't afford to leave it short either but that's exactly what he contrives to do and the ball rolls back just off the green.

Looked like he was caught in two minds and just didn't hit it enough.

Rickie Fowler plays out of the rough to the fairway and then launches a ball over the moon and short of the green. He needs an up and down for par on this par five.

Brian Harman recovers well from his own time in the knee-high grass. He finds the fairway on the par-four 17th and then lands an approach around five feet from the pin. This could be a good save.

To Fowler on 18... in. That's a 68 and a fine day. To Harman... never in doubt. Putting like a machine.

    Fleetwood (-12 after 17), Koepka (-10 after 17)

Fleetwood has 298 yards to the flag. Out comes the three wood, he's aiming at the front edge of the green and falls just short. That's good though. Solid stuff, Tommy.

Koepka has the power knock it on the green - and does! What a shot. Shades of Justin Thomas. Not quite as ridiculous but still a superb strike.

    Fleetwood (-12 after 17), Koepka (-10 after 17)

Fleetwood on the last, finding yet another fairway. Koepka steps up and does the same.

Doubt either of them will quite manage what Justin Thomas did on this hole though.

Rickie Fowler is walking with his garden shears ready on 18 as he's pumped his ball into the rough off the tee. That was a hook Floyd Mayweather would be proud of.

Up on the green Si Woo Kim ends the day nine under and that is enough for sixth place. He dropped a couple of shots in his round too.

Brian Harman on the 17th tee. This is 523 yards and a par four so you need to get it out there. That's not good... rough stuff.

    Koepka (-10 after 17)

Koepka has practically battered all his putts today but shockingly leaves this birdie chance short on 17.

A tricky short one for par? No worries for Brooks as he knocks it in.

    Fleetwood (-12 after 17)

Fleetwood to putt first on 17. Lovely looking effort, it's got a chance...but just drifts wide. An easy par and on to the last.

  15. Postpublished at 00:06 British Summer Time 18 June 2017

    Harman (-12 after 16)

Brian Harman putting like a dream on 16. He has 70ft to the pin and a nasty-looking two putt needed. That big putter head accelerates through the ball to leave about a foot. Brilliant stuff. If his short stick is this hot tomorrow he will be hard to wrestle off this title...

  16. Postpublished at 00:05 British Summer Time 18 June 2017

    Koepka (-10 after 16)

And Koepka follows Fleetwood with a near-identical shot, just slightly inside the Englishman's effort.

    Fleetwood (-12 after 16)

Right, what can Fleetwood do with his fine drive on 17? Follow it up with a fine approach, of course.

Centre of the green, should be no drama in making it in two putts.

    Fleetwood (-12 after 16), Koepka (-10 after 16)

Tommy Fleetwood has company at the top as he cracks his tee shot on 17.

Unlike Charley Hoffman, no sweat for Fleetwood though as he unleashes another pearler of a drive.

Brooks Koepka follows suit with a quality drive of his own. Nothing but fairway.

  20. Birdie to level...published at 23:59 British Summer Time 17 June 2017

    Harman (-12 after 15)

Brian Harman ties the lead. The Ricky Ponting lookalike has been as steady as they come today. He rolls home his sixth birdie of the day and again, the lead is shared by two men no one would have picked on Wednesday.
