    Europe win the Ryder Cup

Henrik Stenson, who beat Bubba Watson 5&4, on BBC Radio 5 live: "The crowd has been amazing it's been such an honour to be part of the team. We played our hearts out - that's why we are here standing with the Ryder Cup. Everyone has to tackle the match like it's the most important one.

"I didn’t give Bubba anything. I played my best round of golf this week and it was a comfortable ride on the back nine. I was just trying to get the points and saw the other guys were doing well, so just tried to keep my concentration."

Another point for the US as Patrick Reed brings his nightmare week to a positive close with a 3&2 win over Tyrrell Hatton.

Fair play, he gives a joke shush to the crowd. I quite like that. The win doesn't mean much now, but it shows he has a sense of humour.

European captain Thomas Bjorn, speaking to Sky Sports: "I’m probably a bit prouder today than I was on Thursday evening. It's been easy - they’ve been amazing; all 12 of them have been unbelievable.

"They were so determined. They set out to do a job, so it was easy for me to guide them in that direction. They stood up to it. So many things have happened this week, so many great stories but it's down to 12 players and them only.

"This is such special event, when you come in with right attitude it's such a great thing. I couldn’t believe they would stand up like they did, but they did because of the 12.

"[I should] wrap them up and take them to America for the next one. It was getting tough but in general I had belief and faith in the team that they were going to deliver.

"It's the Ryder Cup. They come away from home and it’s tough. Our team wanted it so much this week - that’s why they did what they did."

Europe's Francesco Molinari speaking to Sky Sports: This means more than Majors, more than anything. It is hard not too get emotional when you think of the vice-captians, the other players, the wives, it is unreal.

"I just tried to do things well and be professional and I had an amazing partner in Tommy alongside me. It never felt like I had a rookie alongside me. The team spirit has been the best I have been a part of."

  17. Le Golf National goes crazypublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Europe win Ryder Cup

There are still some golf matches to finish yet, but control has been lost a little at Le Golf National. The crowd have taken over, which while amazing to see, is a little concerning for some of the players.

Four matches are still to finish. Not sure how that's going to happen right now. The 16th tee, where Francesco Molinari won it, is absolutely nuts.

Tommy Fleetwood is loving it. His long-flowing locks are getting more than a few ruffles.
