    Jon Rahm, take a bow!

If there was a roof on Le Golf National it would have been blown right off when the Spaniard wrapped up that point against Tiger Woods up on the 17th.

Jubilation from Rahm, as Woods’ woeful Ryder Cup record continues.

He's not had a good time, Tiger, but this was his first singles defeat for 21 years. His opponent on that occasion in Valderrama, Italy's Costantino Rocca.

Here we go. Over the water, and, and......?

He's only gone and smacked it to FIVE FEET.

That could be that. Never lost a Ryder Cup singles match. Never mind a Ryder Cup legend, more like a Ryder Cup God!

    Rahm beats Woods 2&1

Europe's Jon Rahm speaking to Sky Sports after beating Tiger Woods: "I played really good all day but didn’t make any putts so it was only fitting to hit that shot [on 17] and then make that putt.

"There were so many things going through my mind. My grandpa, my biggest fan, passed away at the PGA and to beat Tiger - one of, if not the, all-time greatest player - I was so aware of it. It is the best feeling of my life.

"If you break it down all the pressure was on Tiger. I was one up and he missed the fairway. I had a similar shot to the first and I stiffed it to four feet.

"It was a really good redemption feeling after the missed putt on 16. Everything happens for a reason I’d rather win like that than with a par."
