Christopher: Unlike recent majors he has played Tiger Woods looks in complete control out there. Calm but very intensely focused.

Kevin: So when the players are called off because of the threat of lightning, where does the huge crowd of spectators go?

  2. PLAY RESUMESpublished at 22:37 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

Here we go then.... Haotong Li is pegging up on 12. Minimal disruption for the world number 39 - he's just outside Woods on the green.

Jon Rahm next... he's also plucking his pitchmark repairer out of his pocket and the putter out of the bag...

  3. Do you move the tee times?published at 22:34 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

The problem is we are all talking about the weather on Sunday. We've had Monday finishes before but those were play-offs. There is no question in my mind that you do not want to end up playing on a Monday.

So Augusta National will have to decide what they want to do. Do you move the tee times earlier to try and eliminate the problem?

Tommy Fleetwood is crouched in the pine straw as he waits to get the nod from tournament chiefs. Not sure that was the best shelter from a thunderstorm, thankfully the threat didn't really materialise.

  5. Play set to resumepublished at 22:29 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

Jon Rahm has got a big grin around his chops... the players are walking back to their holes! And that means, unless there is a sudden wind change, play looks set to restart in the next few minutes...

  6. Woods' experience 'the difference'published at 22:28 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Andrew Magee
PGA Tour winner on BBC Radio 5 live

I'm surprised by Tiger Woods being two under today and the fact he did not birdie either of the par fives on the front nine. Most people would say if you do not birdie par fives you will not be in contention.

He is only one under par on par fives this week. Yet he is in contention.

His experience has been the difference here. He has found birdies that most others would not find out here.

The big question is how long will this storm last. To be honest, I've got no idea. But there are a few suggestions that the organisers expect it pass fairly quickly...

  10. PLAY SUSPENDEDpublished at 22:18 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

Skies darkening over Augusta, weather maps showing algae-like blobs. That spells bad news. The players have now headed back to the clubhouse...

  11. Scott misses birdie puttpublished at 22:16 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Scott -6 (14)

Just before the war-like sirens started blaring, Adam Scott missed that putt on the 14th. So the Aussie can't take a share of the lead and stays at six under.

  12. PLAY SUSPENDEDpublished at 22:11 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Woods -4, Rahm -5 (11)

The players aren't going anywhere just yet, however. Tiger crosses Hogan Bridge to mark his ball and then prowls around the green waiting to hear what is going to happen next.

  13. PLAY SUSPENDEDpublished at 22:09 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

Haotong Li's name hasn't been mentioned too often over the past two days, apart from in passing as the other leg of the Tiger Woods/Jon Rahm tripod.

But it is the Chinese player's tee shot which is interrupted when the weather warning sirens.

    A storm is coming apparently...

  14. Postpublished at 22:07 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Woods -4, Rahm -5 (11)

There ain't a roar like a Tiger roar. Woods lands his tee shot on 12 stone dead - five feet away from another birdie...

  15. PLAY SUSPENDEDpublished at 22:07 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

The storms are coming. The storms are coming. The sirens have wailed.

So much for the weather radar website I was looking at.

The players are being held in place.

  16. Birdie for Fleetwoodpublished at 22:06 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Fleetwood -1 (12)

If Tiger can do what Tommy can do then he'll be happy. Fleetwood knocks in from the back of the 12th green for a two on Golden Bell...

Here is the ovation for Tiger Woods walking up on to the 12th tee. You don't even need to look at the leaderboard to the left to know who is coming up.

He is the favourite of the week.

  18. Birdie for Woodspublished at 22:04 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Woods -4, Rahm -5 (11)

He's behind you... Tiger Woods sinks another birdie to move four under. The galleries erupt around the 11th - the sort of roar you hear when your favourite band launches into their biggest hit at a gig - when the 14-time major champion's ball disappears.

And an excellent save from Jon Rahm keeps him one shot ahead of Woods.

  19. Postpublished at 22:00 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    Scott -6 (13)

Adam Scott's swing is a thing of beauty. A confident approach on the 14th means another birdie opportunity awaits...

  20. Postpublished at 21:57 British Summer Time 12 April 2019

    McIlroy -1 (10) Fleetwood E (11) Woodland E (11) Oosthuizen -5 (12)

Rory McIlroy nice and tidy with an up and down on 10, Louis Oosthuizen fires over 300 yards into the fairway on the par-five 13th. Gary Woodland on the 12th - a par-three - straight at it. Big pitch mark, birdie chance. Tommy Fleetwood, a touch heavy and on the fringe.

All out there, all grinding, all battling this delightful course.
