Long-range birdie chance for Tiger Woods. He leaves it left and tucks away for par.

Ian Poulter shoots for the cup but it just sticks the brakes on and drags a touch left. He'll tap in for a par of his own.

Consistent start. On to the third...

    Woods -6, Poulter -5 (1)

Tiger Woods digs his bunker shot out of the sand and leaves it 140 yards from the flag.

The four-time champion whips an approach on to the back of the green and it threatens to stick before fizzing a few feet back on the good stuff.

Ian Poulter finds his way up there, he's slightly closer to the cup.

  4. Birdies!published at 19:28 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Mickelson -6 (3) Kuchar -5 (3)

Phil Mickelson means business. He drops home another birdie putt on three to move to six under. He touches his cap and writes in his book. I wonder what he wrote. "Good lad" or "15 more of those".

Matt Kuchar also gets a birdie thanks to a superb pitch which had spin aplenty on it.

    Rahm -5, Kizzire -4 (2)

There are currently 19 players currently within two stokes of the lead... it's giving those in charge of the leaderboard a right headache.

One of them is Jon Rahm, who is up and running with two pars to keep him at five under for the day.

  6. Birdie, birdie for Bernhardpublished at 19:23 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Langer -2 (9)

Bernhard Langer has suddenly come to life as he enters the turn. The 61-year-old strings together back-to-back birdies to move to two under par.

  7. In the sand...published at 19:21 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Woods -6, Poulter -5 (1)

Out comes the driver for Tiger Woods at the second. He's urging it to stay left... "one yard..." sorry, Tiger, that's picking out the bunker.

What can Ian Poulter do off the tee? A whip and a crack as his driver whistles through the Augusta air, but that's following Tiger into the sand.

  8. Man on fire...published at 19:19 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Cantlay -6 (17)

This is Patrick Cantlay and he is on flames right now.

He is eight (EIGHT) under for his round, moving him from two over to six under and second place.

Eight birdies and no dropped shots. Incredible. One more?

  9. Pars for Tiger & Poultspublished at 19:18 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Woods -6, Poulter -5 (1)

Don't forget, you can watch the Tiger Woods/Ian Poulter duo as one of our featured groups at the top of this page.

Woods shoots into the middle of the green with his approach, Poulter follows suit and unwraps his putter in anticipation.

Long-range putt to make birdie from here for Tiger, he prowls his ball before tickling it three feet or so above the pin... and down it goes for an opening par.

Poulter goes second, and it's an opening par for the Englishman too.

Phil Mickelson's masterplan for the third round looks pretty simple doesn't it....?

But just how's that shaping up.....?

Smashes the tee shot on two, finds the green with his second and lags an eagle putt up close. Birdie baby. Lefty on the move.

They call Ian Poulter 'The Postman'... he always delivers.

But can the Englishman do it on a sunny afternoon at Augusta? His best finish was tied sixth in 2015, but Poulter sits just two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend.

He's got Tiger Woods for company today. Should be a nice, quiet round then.

Jordan Spieth has reached the turn at one over par for the day, taking him back to level par for the tournament.

He's carded four pars on the trot after a rocky opening five holes.

Would we call that lavender? Tiger Woods sporting a shirt that's the same colour as Ian Poulter's slacks. Fresh.

Woods is first off from the opening tee box, coaxing a three wood down the middle of the fairway.

Poults digs out the driver and nails the middle ground.

Phil Mickelson and Matt Kuchar safely complete the first with pars. It's the par-five second where you have to nail another four.

Rory McIlroy and Marc Leishman make birdies on 13 - as you should do - but they are now too far back.

American Tony Finau has played three holes and they read birdie-birdie-birdie. That my friends is how you get to six under. We have a steamer through the field...

  18. Woods ready to roll...published at 19:02 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

This is your five-minute Tiger warning...

Woods was four over par after his first two rounds in 2018. This time around he's at six under at the same stage...

Basically that's a 10-shot swing in his favour (excuse the pun) as he looks to add to his collection of four Green Jackets.

I wonder if they still have his measurements at the Augusta National? I bet he's got a special section of his wardrobe devoted to them.

  19. Birdie train for Fowlerpublished at 18:58 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    R Fowler -5, G Woodland -2 (4)

Choo choo, Rickie Fowler has a ticket for the birdie train. Destination, top of the leaderboard.

He's two off a share of top spot now after a third successive birdie.

Gary Woodland, meanwhile, has dropped back to two under.

  20. Cantlay two off the leadpublished at 18:50 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Cantlay -5 (15)

Patrick Cantlay is having an absolute stormer. The American is seven under par today, taking him to five under for the tournament and within two strokes of the leaders.

Seven birdies without so much of a blemish today for Cantlay.
