On the tee, a certain Phil Mickelson.

If he wins, he becomes the oldest man to win a major.

Work to do at four under but he's talking a good game and remember, he was here last week working on the course so he must have his eye in. Matt Kuchar alongside him and they are off and running. Kuchar up the middle, Phil looking concerned as his ball heads to a bunker...

What is the greatest Masters shot of all time? Now you're asking... well, we've compiled a shortlist of 10 for you to choose from.

Watch the video above and have you say.

  3. Birdie for Fowlerpublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Fowler -4, Woodland -3 (3)

    Now Rickie Fowler is cooking!

He coaxes a beautiful approach on to the dancefloor and watches it scurry up towards the flag, before tucking it away to string together successive birdies.

Gary Woodland goes left off the tee but gives himself an outside shot a birdie from 12 feet.

That won't go down for the American. Par it is.

  4. Postpublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    McIlroy +2 (14)

The Press Association golf guru Phil Casey with the latest on Rory on the par-five 13th.

I can tell you this hook is wild and he's broken the shot tracker. The ball comes to rest in pine straw and he has nothing to go at. He may be able to bunt it out of there and chase par.

    Struggling.

  6. Asia's John Daly?published at 18:36 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Aphibarnrat -3 (On the tee)

    Kiradech AphibarnratImage source, BBC Sport

Kiradech Aphibarnrat has looked pretty good at the Masters this year and his little slip on Friday on the 17th was a reassuring sight for many a club golfer let me tell you.

He is of course sometimes referred to as 'Asia's John Daly', a comparison borne from his physique mirroring the two-time major championship winner.

But boy can he play as I'm sure his playing partner, America's Charles Howell III will notice over the next few hours.

    They are teeing it up.

  7. Birdie, birdie...published at 18:35 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Fowler -3, Woodland -3 (2)

Straight back at 'em from Gary Woodland, cancelling out that opening bogey with a birdie at the second.

And Rickie Fowler follows suit! Back in the game...

  8. Bogey-birdie Rorypublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Cantlay -4 (14) McIlroy +2 (11)

Rory McIlroy has 10ft left for par on 11... lips out. He's gone bogey-birdie-bogey now. Could be another birdie to come as he creams his tee-shot to within 12ft on 12. What a yo-yo round.

Patrick Cantlay is just all about the yo rather than yo-yo as he's now six under for the day and four under overall. The birdie machine is through 14 holes and a few more of them may at least keep his name up the board.

  9. Postpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Bling +3 (16)

Devon Bling might sound like a knock-off jewellry shop in Plymouth, but the American amateur has the potential to be the real deal in golf's world of 24-carat superstars.

The 19-year-old from California looked to be clawing his way back to level par with successive birdies through Amen Corner, but has just gone bogey-bogey through 15 and 16.

He's actually made five birdies in total today, just they've been wiped out with as many dropped shots.

Back to three over it is.

  10. Big names, no number one...published at 18:26 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Justin RoseImage source, Getty Images

As you'll note from the timetable of big-name starters today, there's no world number one.

Indeed, Justin Rose failing to make the cut we believe is just the second time in 20 years that the world's top player has not made the cut.

It's even more surprising given a record 65 players made the mark this year, including four amateurs.

"I've been playing terribly this week, but there's always pride in trying to make it," said Rose after ending four over par.

"I've never missed a cut here."

  11. Bogey wonderland...published at 18:25 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Fowler -2, Woodland -2 (1)

Not the start American duo Rickie Fowler and Gary Woodland had in mind.

Fowler fails to make the green with his approach, sticking it left and eventually making it down in five.

Woodland stuck his opening drive in a bunker flanking the right of the fairway, and he's also down in five.

Both drop back to two under.

  12. Head to Augusta's sixthpublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Peter Scrivener
    BBC Sport at Augusta National

What's your preference as a golf fan at an event? Walk the course following your favourite player, or pick a spot and soak up a few hours of action coming through?

If it's the latter, I can highly recommend the sixth hole here. A short par-three down a steep hill. You've got the fifth green behind the tee and if you crane your neck a little, you can see the 16th green down to your right.

Patrons sit on the bank, out of sight of the tee but with a perfect view of both the sixth and 16th greens.

    It's a truly beautiful setting.

  13. A reminder...published at 18:20 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

  14. Bogey for Spiethpublished at 18:20 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    J Spieth E (5)

Not for the first time today, Jordan Spieth comes a cropper when looking well placed to at least make par - instead he three putts on the fifth green to drop back to level par.

A hokey cokey round from the American so far.

  15. Birdies!published at 18:18 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    McIlroy +1 (10) Olesen -3 (2)

Rory McIlroy, stands over a birdie putt, should break left to right. Tickles it, looks good... drops.

Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen moves himself an inch closer with birdie on two. The second is the third-easiest hole out there this week so you have to take what it's offering you. Snatch it, run with it and bank it.

  16. Postpublished at 18:16 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Fitzpatrick -1 (10)

Englishman Matthew Fitzpatrick is making steady ground during his third round.

He had an awful opening round on Thursday - carding a six-over 78 - but clawed his way back to make the cut with three birdies and an eagle in his final seven holes yesterday.

Three birdies and a single bogey have moved him to one under par so far today.

More importantly, he tipped Manchester United to win 2-0 against West Ham when facing Mark Lawrenson in the predictions game this week - they're currently one up.

  17. Fowler under waypublished at 18:12 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Fowler -3, Woodland -3 (18:05)

Decent opening drive for Rickie Fowler, slightly left of the fairway but a good look at the green.

The American's best finish at Augusta was second last year, and what he'd give to win his first major at the Masters...

He begins the day at three under par, four strokes off the leaders.

  18. Birdiepublished at 18:09 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Fleetwood -3 (3)

Tommy Fleetwood crushes a 323 yard drive off the second tee. He has over 200 yards on this par five and hits the heart of the green. Rock solid stuff. Long putt, tickle it up there, he does... converts for birdie.

On to the third, he again hits the heart of the green to set up a birdie look. This time he gets the read wrong.

Someone will steam through the field, could it be Tommy?

  19. Watch: 'He's got it' - McIlroy birdies fourth hole to move under parpublished at 18:03 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    McIlroy +2 (9)

Here's some video of an early Rory McIlroy birdie but it's gone downhill rapidly and he's just dropped another shot on nine. Hitting the bunker from his second shot is a price he just can't pay.

That's a birdie and three bogeys in his opening nine holes. Any hope of threatening the leaders has gone.

  20. Par for Spiethpublished at 18:03 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    J Spieth -1 (4)

Jordan Spieth has finally found some middle ground after a roller-coaster opening few holes.

Par at the par-three fourth for the American.
