  1. Early mover - scores to be hadpublished at 17:00 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    S Kim -2 (3) Kanaya -2 (12)

We have another early mover as Si Woo Kim goes birdie-birdie on holes two and three.

That gets him to two under, while Japanese amateur Takumi Kanaya is five under for his round.

There's a low number out there today. That could be huge when the leaders emerge.

  4. Spend your green on greenpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Peter Scrivener
    BBC Sport at Augusta National

A trip to the Augusta National requires a visit to the shop. I say shop. It's like a mini-department store given the amount of goodies that are on offer.

It's like queuing at an amusement park to get in, with patrons snaking left and right, tightly packed in. But Americans appear to be quick shoppers because the queue is constantly on the move and I'm in in no time.

The Augusta green-coloured items prove popular and just about everyone grabs a cap. The smaller items - towels, ball markers and balls are right by the till to distract and tempt while you wait to part with your dollars.

For the non-golfers, there are Magnolia-scented candles, wine glasses, socks, and dog bowls, collars and leashes.

And in case my wife is reading, I refrained from buying the dog a present.

  5. 'Rory needs a hot start'published at 16:43 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    Andrew Magee
PGA Tour winner on BBC Radio 5 live

That final putt on the 18th yesterday summed up Rory McIlroy's first two days but he is playing the weekend.

If he can find something - let's see if he can get off to a hot start and get himself to feel like he is back in the mix with the players at the top of the leaderboard.

  6. Rory not yet rockingpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 13 April 2019

    McIlroy E (3) Leishman -2 (3)

The Press Association's golf man is monitoring Rory in Augusta. Just not happening for him. Marc Leishman clearly off the unleashed though.

It was wall-to-wall thrill on Friday.

Birdies rained down on Augusta National as the evening played out. Tiger Woods lit the place up, Rory McIlroy drove balls onto golf carts, it was stupendous stuff.

Rory smiled, through gritted teeth, as his putts and chances slipped away. Or did they?

Now we have a leaderboard packed with major winners and they are all bunched together tighter than some bananas in your shopping bag.
