  1. Lorenzo-Vera moves to seven underpublished at 02:07 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

Brooks Koepka produces another par, this time at the 16th - two left for the American.

Meanwhile, Frenchman Mike Lorenzo-Vera makes his third straight birdie on the par five fourth to go to seven under. Five holes left.

Worth reminding people the 35-year-old did finish tied 16th last year.

BTW championship leader Li Haotong, who finished his round about 50 hours ago remains in the practice areas.

He could have visited Alcatraz or maybe taken photos of the Golden Gate Bridge. What about a cable-car day-pass?

    Oh no... not our Li.

  3. Postpublished at 01:59 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

McIlroy (E), who made par at the 13th, finds the green safely on the 14th.

Up ahead Brooks Koepka (-5), seeking his third win on the bounce, is wayward with his iron to the green. The American has been receiving treatment on his hip during the round - might that issue affect the rest of his tournament?

  4. Day two off the lead heading into round threepublished at 01:53 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

Jason Day finishes his round with a par for 69. It was going well for the 2015 winner until a double bogey on the 12th.

Still, it's six under - just two off the lead.

  5. Postpublished at 01:51 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

In all that flurry of fun, Tiger Woods bogeyed the 13th to return to evens.

He'll keep on plugging away but this probably won't be Tiger's year.

  6. Rose in bloompublished at 01:45 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

    Justin Roseeeeeeee!

The Englishman chips in from off the 14th green and then produces a funny little jog.

He's goes to five under with four to play.

Meanwhile, Frenchman Mike Lorenzo-Vera - who no doubt you all tipped - birdies the par three third to go to six under. He began his second round at the 10th.

  7. Flame grilled Bergerpublished at 01:42 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

Daniel Berger's putting has been near faultless today - he's now at seven under and just one behind leader Li Haotong of China with two to play.

Berger had a good start to the year with three top 10s then won the Charles Schwab Challenge after the resumption followed by a tied third and then a tied second at the St Jude.

    Quite a season so far.

  8. A day to forget for Kaymerpublished at 01:36 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

At least McIlroy hasn't had the sort of round Martin Kaymer has had.

The German has dropped more than 120 places following his first-round 66 - he is currently 11 over par with one to play.

  9. Postpublished at 01:29 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

Frankly some of the putting from the top boys has been atrocious at times. World number one Justin Thomas (E) missed a five footer for par at the 12th, although Tiger Woods (-1) made his for par.

Up ahead, Shane Lowry makes another bogey to go to one over.

  10. Postpublished at 01:28 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

That's a seven for McIlroy at the par four 12th as he collapses back to level par.

Remember the cut is at one over. If Rory has "a Rory" then he could be in trouble.

    Good grief.

Double. Maybe even a triple, but I'm pretty sure it won't be.

  14. Postpublished at 01:23 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

McIlroy leaves it very short with his chipped shot. Double B?

  15. Postpublished at 01:21 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

Rory McIlroy's run of birdies will probably come to an end after he finds some sort of grassy knoll near the scoreboard at the par four 12th. In fact the pitch to the green runs off the green - a bogey might be on the cards.

  16. Postpublished at 01:17 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

Lowry's chip from just off the green almost finds the hole, but it now looks like the Irishman will drop down to one over - he cannot afford any more dropped shots.

  17. Fans make their voices heard at Harding Parkpublished at 01:13 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

We can hear fans!! Some have managed to find holes in the mesh covering the fencing at the 12th.

"Let's go Tiger! Let's go baby!"

I have to say I've actually missed that. Although I have low tolerance levels, so I hope they don't overdo it.

Meanwhile, Shane Lowry (E) has just snapped his iron out of frustration at the par four 13th. Fair enough.

  18. More treatment for Koepkapublished at 01:07 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

England's Justin Rose uses a wood to get his ball out of some rough and find the green at the 12th. Brilliant. He's on five under.

Meanwhile, Brooks Koepka (-6) is getting more physio treatment on his hip. Worrying moments for the American who is seeking a third US PGA win on the spin.

  19. Postpublished at 01:04 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

Open champion Shane Lowry is hanging on - he makes a bogey on the 12th. He is at level par and the projected cut is at one over.

He doesn't look too happy out there.

  20. Postpublished at 00:59 British Summer Time 8 August 2020

It's par three time for McIlroy, Thomas and Woods.

Rory is just about on the 11th green, Thomas expected his iron to run on while Woods' ball drops alongside his compatriot's.

Pars for the lot of them.
