  1. Ernst squares matchpublished at 18:37 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Koerst Madsen A/S Ernst (3)

Austin Ernst is back on terms. I bet she thought it wasn't going to come after what happened on the second.

This time she only needs a par to win the hole against Nanna Koerst Madsen.

  2. Salas pulls it back to all-squarepublished at 18:36 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Castren A/S Salas (2)

Lizette Salas has two putts to take this par-five on the second hole, and she winds up about a foot away.

She is given that for the hole, and ... we are back to all-square.

  3. Korda halves Hall's leadpublished at 18:34 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    1UP Hall v N Korda (5)

A huge roar around the fifth green. That can only mean a US hole win. It's Nelly Korda, rolling in a birdie putt from four feet to claw one back on Georgia Hall.

    1UP Castren v Salas (1)

Matilda Castren has a little work to do on the second, but Lizette Salas is like a magician with her woods with an amazing approach shot on to the green.

The American has been one of the understated stars of the Team in the fourballs - can she make an early difference now?

  5. Postpublished at 18:33 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Sagstrom v Ewing 1UP (6)

Ally Ewing is almost leading the USA charge single handed so far, and she's really got the speed of these greens as she knocks in another from about eight feet just for a half.

    2UPMaguire v Kupcho (5)

Solid and steady stuff from Leona Maguire and Jennifer Kupcho on the fifth. Both make par. It's as you were.

  7. Time to win a first point?published at 18:29 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Popov v Khang

Sophia Popov v Megan Khang is a contest of two players who are yet to taste victory in a Solheim Cup match. Will that be broken today?

Megan Khang is whipping the crowd up into a frenzy as she fires down the middle. Germnay's Popov is, like many of her fellow Europeans, in the first cut.

  8. Thompson draws levelpublished at 18:29 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Nordqvist A/S Thompson (6)

While I and the TV crews were being distracted by various shenanigans on the first tee, Lexi Thompson draws level with Anna Nordqvist.

  9. Postpublished at 18:28 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Boutier A/S Harigae (3)

Two pars on the short third hole and it's another close call between Europe and America here. There's really not been much between the teams all the way through this competition.

    1UP Koerst Madsen v Ernst (2)

Remarkable. Austin Ernst plays a wonderful shot out of the rough on the par-five second that skips on to the green and then rolls up before finishing a foot or so from the pin

Almost an Albatross. (Not sure I've ever had to use that graphic on here).

Nanna Koerstz Madsen responds with a superb approach of her own that nudges Ernst's ball before coming to a stop. Two eagles to tie the hole.

    Exceptional golf ladies.

  11. Hall moves further aheadpublished at 18:26 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    2UP Hall v N Korda (4)

With so many matches out there, we're not going to see every shot being played today.

But that's a great sight if you're a fan of Europe. Georgia Hall holes a birdie putt to win the fourth and strides off, with Nelly Korda in the background pracrising her putting stroke.

  12. Castren takes first holepublished at 18:25 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    1UP Castren v Salas (1)

Lizette Salas needed to par-putt to halve the first hole, and the Solheim veteran has been so solid this week, but just drifts wide of the cup, and early doors it is a splash of blue for Europe's Matilda Castren.

  13. Maguire extends leadpublished at 18:22 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    2UPMaguire v Kupcho (4)

Leona Maguire doing what she does on the fourth. Knocking in a 10-foot birdie putt to go two holes up on Jennifer Kupcho.

  14. Postpublished at 18:20 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Sagstrom v Ewing 1UP (5)

Ewing remains one up after the fifth hole is halved, with Sagstrom sinking her par putt to make sure she didn't slip two behind.

It remains the only match the USA are ahead in.

    Ciganda v Altomare

Another match gets going. Two very careful tee shots. It's all about position obvs.

  16. Latest scorepublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

Clearly there's a long way to go, but I suspect Europe captain Catriona Matthew is going to be quietly pleased with how her team has started the singles...

  17. Koerstz Madsen edges aheadpublished at 18:15 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    1UP Koerstz Madsen v Ernst (1)

Great start from Nanna Koerstz Madsen, who knocks in a six footer to take the first hole.

Austin Ernst out of sorts there after finding the left fairway bunker.

More blue to that leaderboard please Mr.Graphics man.

    1UP Hall v N Korda (3)

Georgia Hall is a little short with her tee shot on the par-three third, her ball taking one hop forward onto the green. She's left with about a 35-footer. Lexi Thompson was fooled by this putt a little earlier, borrowing too much from the right.

Hall hits an almost carbon copy effort to Thompson's.

Nelly Korda is also on the front of the green. What has she learned from Hall? Not to send it out too far right is the answer, but her ball misses on the low side.

Hall rolls in another five-footer. She's like Justin Rose in his prime from that range.

Nelly is two feet away but Georgia wants to see that putt made. A tentative jab. Holed.

    Boutier A/S Harigae (2)

Harigae nailed some excellent putts yesterday but she’s not quite warmed up yet as she just misses with a birdie attempt to win the second by playing with too much break.

Boutier and Harigae then give us the first "good-good" of the day as neither really seem to fancy knocking in their tiny par putts and on they go to the third.

  20. Match seven... lucky for who?published at 18:08 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Castren v Salas

Lizette Salas has been the queen of clutch points earning 2 1/2 points for Team USA this week.

Matilda Castren has one win and one loss to her name on her Solheim debut.

First up is the rookie - but that bounces safely onto the fairway- runs on a little to the left and nestles up against the first cut.

Salas' drive is greeted with cheers and rightly so - it too runs to the left, but it stays on the short stuff.
