    Castren A/S Salas (4)

Lizette Salas with another comfortable tiddler for par on the fourth - and there really is not much between her and Matilda Carsten.

Europe had the first hole and were quickly pegged back by Salas and it has been all-square since.

  2. Reid slips two downpublished at 19:01 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Reid v Noh 2UP (2)

Oh dear! Reid's missed another putt on the second, this time a sitter in footballing terms. It's short but it just breaks right at the end and catches the right lip and curls off to the left.

Reid thought it was in, it wasn't. And she's two down after two.

  3. Maguire puts the hammer downpublished at 19:00 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    4UP Maguire v Kupcho (7)

Leona Maguire is putting the hammer down. Her putter is red hot at present. Anything within 10 feet looks like a gimme.

Jennifer Kupcho does not know what has hit her. Another birdie on the seventh gives the Irish rookie another hole

  4. Postpublished at 18:59 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Hull A/S J.Korda (1)

Both players hit the green in two so, as it generally is as in these competitions, it’s a putting contest on the first. Hull has the best chance but she’s not quite hit it despite it being bang on line and it just pulls up right on the edge.

It’s not overhanging is it? Korda is going nowhere near it as a precaution and Hull picks it up herself as the halve the first.

  5. Match 12 - Three's company?published at 18:59 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Pedersen v Kang

Are they saving the best until last - or just giving the family dynamics time to settle - with Olly Brett, Emily Pedersen's boyfriend caddying for the feisty Danielle Kang!

Emily Pedersen gets a decent cheer from the crowd for her tee shot, but she is in the first cut on the left.

Here comes Danielle Kang who cups her hand to her ear, and prompts a whole lotta whooping, hollering and 'USA, USA' all around!

She is off to the first cut on the right - and off we go!

  6. Ciganda regains the leadpublished at 18:57 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    1UP Ciganda v Altomare (3)

Ohhhh the silence on the third says everything. Brittany Altomare pushes nervously at a six-foot birdie putt to level the hole and sees it slide past on the left.

    Carlota Ciganda back in front.

  7. Khang doubles leadpublished at 18:55 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Popov v Khang 2UP (2)

Megan Khang has made the perfect start. Two holes, two birdies and that's enough to put her in control of her match against 2020 Open champion Sophia Popov.

  8. Thompson levels against Nordqvistpublished at 18:54 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Nordqvist A/S Thompson (8)

    What a shot that is.

Lexi Thompson scoots a brilliant wedge shot into the par-five eighth. It breaks and spins back to within three feet of the cup. Big chance for the American to draw level...

Huge cheers. Thompson with arms aloft. I think you can guess what happened next.

    This is a real battle.

  9. Hall misses great opportunitypublished at 18:53 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Hall A/S N Korda (6)

Georgia Hall is looking at another hole-winning putt on the sixth, from about six feet. Tentative. Misses on the low side and the ball has hit a slope and rolled about four feet past.

Nelly Korda's interest in this hole suddenly returns.

Hall for a half. Lips out. Big moment. From looking set to go 2UP, Hall is back level with the American.

  10. Reid loses the firstpublished at 18:49 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Reid v Noh 1UP (1)

Europe have been ace on the first hole mainly but Reid makes a little bit of a mess of that and can only make a bogey to instantly go behind with Noh making a safe par.

  11. Postpublished at 18:48 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Hull v J.Korda

Jessica Korda has drawn a blank so far and now faces Charley Hull in what could be one of, if not THE deciding match of the Solheim Cup.

They both get away nicely off the tee.

  12. Altomare levels with an eaglepublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Ciganda A/S Altomare (1)

American Brittany Altomare makes amends for her sloppy start on the first by making an eagle on the second.

Carlota Ciganda made a decent enough birdie after finding the greenside bunker but it's not good enough this time.

  13. Postpublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Castren A/S Salas (3)

Lizette Salas from a little under 5ft out for par, and has no difficulty at all in keeping the score tied through hole three.

  15. Maguire takes another holepublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    3UP Maguire v Kupcho (6)

Leona Maguire now eyeing up a 10-12 footer from the back of the sixth green.

She never really looks like missing these does she and in it pops. US golfer Jennifer Kupcho looks rattled after going three down.

  16. Postpublished at 18:42 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    1UP Nordqvist v Thompson (7)

That didn't last long. Anna Nordqvist responds to losing the sixth by making a birdie on the seventh with Lexi Thompson out of position.

  17. Boutier edges aheadpublished at 18:40 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    1UP Boutier v Harigae (5)

Harigae finds the rough at the back of the par three 5th, and Boutier responds by striping a gorgeous iron shot right at the flag and leaving herself not much more than a foot.

She doesn't even need her putter to put a bit more blue on the board.

  18. Ciganda wins opening holepublished at 18:40 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    1UP Ciganda v Altomare (1)

Good start from Carlota Ciganda. The 31-year-old Spaniard makes par and that's good enough to win the opening hole against Brittany Altomare.

  19. Khang leadspublished at 18:39 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Popov v Khang 1UP (1)

You can almost sense the early European charge is starting to falter a little. Megan Khang is in close in two on the par-four first and drops the birdie putt to move clear.

  20. Postpublished at 18:38 British Summer Time 6 September 2021

    Reid v Noh

Right, match 10 and we're getting down to the sharp end now, with Catriona Matthew slotting in some big guns here in case the Solheim Cup goes down to the wire, which, let's face it, it probably will do.

And it's captain intensity Mel Reid going up against impressive rookie Yealimi Noh in this match. Hopefully Reid's shoulder is in full working order after she needed treatment on it yesterday.
