  1. Sagstrom looking to surgepublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Sagstrom -10 (12)

Madelene Sagstrom isn't letting this go without a fight, and she's creeping up on her fellow Swede Nordqvist after a second straight birdie moves her on to 10 under.

She's not made a lot with her putter today but her approach play means she keeps on getting chances.

Here we go, we're on the back nine on a Sunday, with five players still out on the course all within three shots of leader Anna Nordqvist, and Minjee Lee already in the clubhouse with a handy 10 under mark in case the leaders slip up.

So who'll be taking home the trophy?

A few clouds are puffing up and it doesn't feel quite as bright at Carnoustie. But I don't think there is any chance of rain.

  7. Three holes for Hall to make her movepublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Hall -11 (15)

Now then - the toughest holes on the course, and three chances for Georgia Hall to make her move.

Current leader Anna Nordqvist has just come around the turn and has holes in hand.

    Here we go!

  8. 'Hall goes along so quietly'published at 16:53 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Sophie Powell

I think Georgia Hall having already won a Women's Open, back in 2018, is a really important factor this afternoon.

She has been there and done it.

Carnoustie is a similar golf course to Lytham - where she won three years ago - in there are a lot of pot bunkers.

She will be remembering the good times and be confident in her golf.

You wouldn't think she was five under as she goes along so quietly. She never seems to change her demeanour.

  9. Tough finish at Carnoustiepublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Lee -10 (F)

As Minjee Lee just discovered, this finishing hole at Carnoustie is no picnic, with the burn in play snaking its way down the hole, hungry bunkers waiting to gobble up your ball, and ruin your round, and, oh yes, the out of bounds stakes that guide the entire left side of the hole.

If anyone says they're not thinking about those treacherous white stakes then they're lying!

This tournament could be won and lost down here....

  10. Back-to-back birdies for Duncanpublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Duncan -9, Sagstrom -9 (11)

Another birdie for Duncan and it's starting to get really, really interesting among the Scottish crowd now as she sits just three shots off the leader.

Playing partner Sagstrom also makes her birdie but it feels like a dropped shot as she left herself a tiddler for eagle but her stone cold putter hasn't given her much today at all.

  12. 'Disappointing finish but a round to be proud of'published at 16:45 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Sophie Powell
Ladies European Tour player on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

I think Minjee Lee will be disappointed how she finished the 18th.

You could tell that by her expression at the end.

But seven birdies on the final day is something to be proud of.

  13. Minjee Lee is the clubhouse leaderpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Lee -10 (F)

Onto the final (and arguably the hardest) hole of the course for Minjee Lee.

First shot is safely on the fairway - but beware of the burn! Goodness me, the ball literally bouces up off the wall and pops over the burn!

You feel that she just rushed that par putt, and Lee finishes with her only bogey of the day.

What a fabulous round though, from the 2021 Evian champion.

She is the clubhouse leader and now she waits.

  14. Birdie - Hall back within one of the leaderpublished at 16:41 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Hall -11 (14)

This is very good from Georgia Hall on the back nine - Another beautiful putt but she couldn't bag herself a third eagle as it settles right up to the edge of the hole.

A simple tap and she is now one away from the current leader Anna Nordqvist.

  15. Anna on top!published at 16:41 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Nordqvist -12 (9)

That putter is warming up nicely now for Nordqvist and she drains another, with the flag left in this time, to hit the turn in three under today and to lead outright on 12 under.

She's hit back-to-back birdies and three in four holes, has looked calm and assured all day and is now nine holes from glory.

Don't want to jinx it but she's not had a bogey in the last 29 holes here.....

  17. Duncan finds a birdiepublished at 16:34 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

Great response! Duncan really has got some bottle for a 21-year-old amateur and is rising to this occasion magnificently.

Her birdie on 10 delights the bumper crowd following her, and you know what, she's only three shots back with two par fives to come and plenty of shots to be played yet.

    Could she?

  18. 'It's about sticking with the gameplan'published at 16:33 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Sophie Powell
Ladies European Tour player on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

I think the most intelligent golfer will win today, with just keeping calm and picking your chances to go. It is knowing what flags to go at with your shape of shot. It's about sticking with the gameplan.

  20. Nordqvist joins Lee in frontpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 22 August 2021

    Nordqvist -11 (8)

Anna Nordqvist joins Minjee Lee at the top of the leaderboard after a superb birdie putt on the eighth - with what was only an outside chance really.

She talked about staying patient and has stuck to her word today, playing solidly if unspectacular, but that was right out of the top drawer.
