  1. Birdie for Cantlaypublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Hovland -6, Cantlay -6 (7)

The Norwegians know about shipping and Viktor Hovland shows he can steady one.

A par on the seventh is a big moment for the 25-year-old after the double bogey on the previous hole.

Momentum is going with Patrick Cantlay now and he joins his playing partner on six under with another birdie.

  2. Missed chance for Rahmpublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Koepka -9, Rahm -10 (7)

Never up, never in from Rahm with his birdie try on seven and Koepka leaps up and hammers his par saver in to stay just one back.

  3. Postpublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Koepka -9, Rahm -10 (6)

Rahm's heating up now as he finds the seventh green with a fantastic iron shot that sets up another birdie chance.

Koepka's on the green but he's also on the ropes here, can he find something with the putter to kick-start his round?

  4. Spieth up to thirdpublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Spieth -6 (14)

Jordan Spieth is on some charge today. A stunner into the 14th green, left of the flag and with a Sunday pin, we know where this is heading... it spins left and inches down the slope to a few feet.

He's five under for the day but that's birdie number 7 (SEVEN) of the day...

  5. Reed stays on birdie trainpublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Schauffele -3, Reed -5 (8)

Patrick Reed has hit a hot streak. Three straight birdies now for the American who clips a sublime wedge into three feet to set up his four on the par-five eighth.

Just imagine what this round would look like if you could scrub off the the double bogey on the second.

  6. 'Koepka's momentum is waning'published at 21:13 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Koepka -9, Rahm -10 (6)

    Andrew Magee
PGA Tour winner on BBC Radio 5 live

It feels like Koepka's momentum is waning and Rahm's is accelerating and you can just feel it.

Koepka is just not getting it done. He needs to get one good putt to get him going.

  7. Rahm takes the lead!published at 21:09 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Koepka -9, Rahm -10 (6)

Koepka hits a nice putt, but it's not enough and he drops a shot again, perhaps lucky that it's only one though.

Rahm sticks in his par putt and he's your new Masters leader!

  8. Postpublished at 21:08 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Koepka -10, Rahm -10 (5)

Rahm pitches up the hill and it spins and stops dead still a good six feet short, but Koepka has a tough shot, and makes a big mistake by sending it in far too hot and it whistles past the flag and really probably should have scooted off the front of the green, but somehow held up on the slope.

  9. Birdie for Philpublished at 21:06 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Spieth -5, Mickelson -5 (13)

Jordan Spieth is unable to get up and down in two from the bunker so it's just a par for the 2015 champion.

Three-time winner Phil Mickelson shows a little more control, trundling his eagle putt down the hill, sliding past to about five feet and nailing the uphiller to draw level with fellow American.

Who's the most likely to set a challenging clubhouse target? Thumbs up for Jordan, thumbs down for Phil...

  10. Postpublished at 21:04 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Koepka -10, Rahm -10 (5)

Hmm - they've not exactly got this flag surrounded on the par-three sixth. Well, I suppose technically they have, but Rahm is short and spins back off the front of the green while Koepka is long and bounds down the slop off the back.

    Nerves?

  11. Double bogey for Hovlandpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Hovland -6, Cantlay -5 (6)

Hovland from the longer stuff at the back of the sixth green...

Chipping isn't the strongest part of his game.... he knocks one into the fringe and wants it to roll down. It doesn't and sticks.

But his par-save putting has been top drawer this week... oh. He's missed it. Raced by. Then he also misses the putt back!

Potentially a dream-wrecker for Hovland, who slides four off the leaders with this double bogey.

Cantlay, by the way, drops in the birdie putt.

  12. Postpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Rose -3, Lowry -3 (8)

Nowt doing for Justin Rose or Shane Lowry on the greens at the moment. Both take a look at presentable birdie opportunities on the eighth green neither convert.

Rose's attempt comes up a couple of ball revolutions short of the cup, while his playing partner almost catches the lip.

  13. WATCH: How Koepka's lead vanishedpublished at 21:02 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Koepka -10, Rahm -10 (5)

Five holes down and we are all square between Rahm and Koepka - watch the key moments so far from the third and fourth greens.

  14. Postpublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Mickelson -4 (12)

Phil Mickelson has history on the 13th. We ALL remember that second from the pine straw...

He's firing from the fairway today and also finding the green in two and this is getting better all the time, wiggling down the slope a little to leave him a 25-footer for eagle.

  15. A couple of parspublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Koepka -10, Rahm -10 (5)

Rahm almost holed it! One of those putts on the fifth that just goes on and on, and on, and...you get the picture! Anyway, he taps in a simple par.

It's also a nice effort from Koepka to knock it stone dead from range. He has a bit of a think about the par putt from a couple of feet, but the stroke is pure and the ball dives in for a four.

  16. Postpublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Hovland -8, Cantlay -4 (5)

Only two players have made birdies on the par-three sixth in the final round.

Boy, Viktor Hovland could do with being the third.

But he won't be... the European Ryder Cup player lumps his tee-shot over the back of the green.

This is what he needed to do... knock it next to the pin like Patrick Cantlay.

Easy, eh? Quality response for the American after back-to-back bogeys.

  17. Schauffele falters as Reed ralliespublished at 20:55 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Schauffele -3, Reed -4 (7)

Xander Schauffele isn't happy. His approach into seven is left and short and a result dips into the left bunker.

The American tries to coax a shot with his sand wedge up towards the pin but sees it sail past and then knocks the return putt over the left lip. Close but no cigar.

Things can change quickly mind around here as a second straight birdie for Patrick Reed shows, as he moved into the top 10. Trading places.

  18. A bit shortpublished at 20:55 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Koepka -10, Rahm -10 (4)

Both just a little bit short on their approaches - especially Rahm who takes a quick, snappy swing (even for him!) and only just about made the green - leaving him a monster putt.

Not so much a birdie try as a two-putt for par.

  19. Spieth chasing glorypublished at 20:55 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Spieth -5 (12)

Jordan Spieth was a little further back than I (and Sir Nick) thought! He's out with a 5-wood, from 240 yards, taking this on.

He's not settling for a nice pay cheque for finishing top-10 here, he's after the 'W'.

It's on its way, hooking a little. In the bunker out the back of the green.

  20. Postpublished at 20:53 British Summer Time 9 April 2023

    Henley -6, Matsuyama -4 (6)

Almost a rebound from Russell who curls his putt on the sixth dangerously towards the hole, but it just misses on the short side and he has to settle for par.
