Rose -3, Scheffler -2 (3)
A bit too pacy from Justin Rose on that 15-foot birdie putt on the par-three third.
Still a decent birdie-par-par start from the Englishman.

Rose -3, Scheffler -2 (3)
A bit too pacy from Justin Rose on that 15-foot birdie putt on the par-three third.
Still a decent birdie-par-par start from the Englishman.
Perez -3 (5)
Victor Perez, is on fire at the moment. He knocks his tee shot to six feet at the fifth and drains his putt for a fourth birdie in a row.
The Dundee-based Frenchman won the 2019 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, as well as the 2023 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
But he's never finished higher than tied for 22nd at a major, which was in this championship at Harding Park, three years back.
Conners -5, DeChambeau -3 (2)
Corey Conners completely fluffs his tee shot on hole two but digs out a superb approach and is able to close out a par.
Disappointment for Bryson DeChambeau whose shot into the green is loose and he has to be content with a two-putt four.
Koepka -6, Hovland -5 (1)
Koepka has a look at birdie but can't make it, while Hovland goes through the green with his approach but that much-maligned short game of holds up with a chip to five feet, which he brushes home for par.
Rose -3, Scheffler -2 (2)
If Justin Rose gets his tee game in order today, he's going to be a threat.
And the signs are good thus far. Lovely shot into the par-three third green to create a 15-foot chance to move to four under.
Reed -1 (6)
Ever-so-quietly, Patrick Reed has made a move into the top 10 after three birdies in his opening six holes.
I don't think we've mentioned him over the first three days but he's taken only three to navigate the tricky sixth hole, drawing level with his old pal Rory McIlroy in eighth.
Rose -3, Scheffler -2 (2)
Goodness me.
Justin Rose shakes off that fluff out of the bunker to chip in straight out of the fringe to save par.
Scottie Scheffler wastes his birdie chance by drifting his seven-footer right of the hole.
Looked like a Rose bogey and Scheffler birdie a minute ago but both end up taking pars.
McIlroy -1, Block +1 (3)
Rory McIlroy and Michael Block both just about reach the 212-par three third.
Both must now negotiate 40-foot plus putts for birdie, which is more the ambition rather than the likelihood.
Two-putts is King here and both make par.
Rose -3, Scheffler -2 (1)
Scottie Scheffler sees Justin Rose's iron shot from the first hole and calls it with an equally impressive approach into the second green.
Meanwhile, Rose has found the greenside bunker closest to the pin with his second shot and then fails in his attempted controlled chip into a mighty small window between sand and green, fluffing it into the fringey rough.
Conners -5, DeChambeau -3 (1)
We've seen some lovely approach shots on one in the past hour and Bryson DeChambeau adds his name to that group with a delicious loft to 11 feet.
Can he ignite his round with an early birdie? His putt is careless and he starts with par.
Corey Conners is not as close with his approach but he's been the best putter of the contenders this week and goes close from 27 feet.
As you were for this duo.
Koepka -6, Hovland -5
And we're off! The final group get underway with Brooks Koepka smoking a drive miles down the first - just hanging on to the right side of the fairway.
Hovland, in a very powerful orange shirt, carves his a bit further right into the rough - and with that we have everyone now out on the course and chasing that massive Wanamaker Trophy.
McIlroy -1, Block +1 (2)
Rory McIlroy's good work at the first is undone as his par-saving putt stays high on the second.
That was always the likely outcome after the wayward second shot.
Koepka -6, Hovland -5 (19:30 BST)
Both of these have had near misses recently, but while Hovland is still waiting to get over the line, Koepka knows exactly what it takes to win the big ones.
He won four majors in quick succession but injuries and a loss of form really hurt him. However, he looks like he's back into major mode.
And if Koepka is back in major mode, that means trouble for the rest..
McIlroy -2, Block +1 (1)
That's as good as it gets from there for Rory, who plays with plenty of loft but still runs on some 10 feet past the pin.
Michael Block finds the left of the green with his second and tickles a putt across the slick surface to maybe a foot. Not bad at all that and ideal to settle any Sunday stress.
Rose -3, Scheffler -2 (1)
Justin Rose completes the formalities for a perfect birdie start on one.
Scottie Scheffler, from about four times the distance, is incredibly unlucky not to do the same.
It looks in all the way for the 2022 Masters champ from about 16 feet but just catches the lip. He looks absolutely bemused.
Conners -5, DeChambeau -3 (19:20 BST)
A mixed reception for Bryson DeChambeau but I think the cheers won out over any jeers on the first tee.
As ever, he's absolutely creamed it and it's plumb on the fairway, with an ideal angle to the first pin.
Corey Conners goes before him and smokes it down the middle with the minimum of fuss.
McIlroy -2, Block +1 (1)
Rory McIlroy gets away nicely on the second, finding the heart of the fairway.
Is this going to get the treatment as well? That's be an emphatic no.
The Northern Irishman's sights are slightly out and this is four or five yards to far right and in the thick stuff down the right. He chucks away his wedge in disgust.
If Rory short-siding himself with a wedge, isn't what you were expecting mind you'd probably best unbuckle now.
Rose -2, Scheffler -2 (19:10 BST)
Wow, Justin Rose, wow.
He's absolutely in the centre of the fairway from the tee - slap bang in the middle. It's a beautiful position.
And boy does he take advantage, lofting a glorious iron shot within four feet of the pin.
DeChambeau -3 (19:20 BST))
Along with playing partner Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau was given a hostile reception in the rain on the first tee yesterday.
The LIV golfer went on to shoot an impressive round of even par despite the conditions and afterwards said the disapproval had not affected him.
"I don't care," he said. "It's not a big deal. They are going to do that no matter what.
"It's New York, and I expect it here, I appreciate the fans and them doing that to me [so] it's cool.
"I've got no problem either way. If we had got applause, that's fantastic and if not, you know what, whatever. It was still fun."
Very soon we'll see if the Sunday crowd at Oak Hill is any more forgiving.
McIlroy -2, Block +1 (1)
It's a kick-in birdie for Rory McIlroy, who was never missing that tap in.
Just the four back now.
Michael Block's par goes west mind, with this week's surprise package seeing a nine-foot putt skirt over the right edge of the cup.
His third bogey of the week on the first.
